Just got back from a fab weekend in Barcelona, we stayed at the HOTEL PRINCIPAL, the hotel is perfectly situated in a street just off La Rambles. Didn't have a great experience at Barceloneta - the restaurant was recommended to me by a colleague, so we made a reservation for dinner while in Barcelona for the weekend. The entire selection of food we ordered (bar the sorbet for dessert) was incredibly salty, my fish and seafood paella had been doused liberally with soy sauce and was undercooked... more

I Just returned from spain where I stayed 1 week at the Hotel Monegal. It is a very basic hotel with a decent size room and fairly large bathroom. Plenty of hot water and good Air Conditioning.
