Its in a lovely upscale area of Tahoe. When we drove in, we were surrounded by bellhops who wanted to park our car. I don't know why you would want to have them park and unpark your car (and then tip them) when right around the corner is ample parking. We were offered a glass of champagne where at the... more

Fantastic property. Stayed here for 3 nights with the family in a 2 bed apartment. The apartment was scrupulously clean and beautifully furnished with granite workstops, stainless appliances and a gas fireplace. We used the pools every day, great experience swimming outdoors while it snowed! Can't speak for the hotel but without doubt one of the best apartments I have... more

In Mid-August 2008, we dined here to see if it was good enough food to have for a wedding rehersal dinner and were sorely disappointed. We ordered scallops for an appetizer and they came out raw. We ordered a chicken breast plate and it was an average dry breast my 10 year old could have cooked better. Also, they had... more

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Incline to visit our daughter and her fiance. After going to watch her softball team play, eleven of us decided we needed something to eat .....dear daughter insisted we go to Crosby's and try their wings...the double dipped ones to be precise. Crosby's is a big hangout for the locals and definitely... more

Do you like to take out the garbage when you are paying $300 per night? Club Tahoe requires that YOU put your garbage in the dumpster when you leave! Do you like weekly maid service or daily maid service at those rates? Do you like friendly or surly check-in treatment? We were shocked and disappointed in our recent stay at... more

This place is a true resort. We have two young children and they loved it. The beach is great, they set up lounge chairs and umbrellas for you and have servers walking around bringing drinks and food. You can rent jet skis and kayaks right there and charge them to your room. The pool is large and a great place... more

The salsa tasted like it came from a can. I had the combination plate, and my taco, enchillada and chili relleno was soggy. The food was less than average. The food could be called Tex-Mex. I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants in the bay area, and this was subpar. I would not return to the restaurant. Service was good.... more

My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway without the kids and the Hyatt turned out to be a great choice. However, the Hyatt would also be a great choice for families as well. Our room was on the third floor of the Spa Terrace wing overlooking the forest. Our room was at the very end of the... more

The High Sierra Lodge is wonderful place to stay if you are not picky about the location of your room and if you don't mind the non-lake location. Since it is not on the beach, there are no lake views. However, the two bedroom units are attractively furnished. Our living room had a leather sofabed, two chairs, a dining room... more

Beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings. It's hard to believe there's a hotel towering overhead given the beautifully decorated lobby, public areas. This is one of those hotels where we feel so comfortable we'd like to move in--reminded us of our stays at Sundance in Utah. We chose one of the balcony rooms overlooking the woods--these rooms are not part of... more

I don't know where to start, but we left the restaurant feeling like we were mugged. We spent the whole car ride back to cabin trying to think of a worse dining experience either of us have ever had... to no avail. When we arrived, the decor was hideous - imagine what your 87-year-old grandmother would have designed 15+ years... more

After renting privately several times this Villa is now available for public rental and we're sorry to say that this secret of ours is now out. Winter skiing is a short trip away to Mount Rose, Heavenly and Squaw Valley. In Summer the lake may be one of the most gorgeous sites you'll ever see. A quick walk and you're... more

They shoud be ashamed of themselves. Granted, they do have a prime location for their restaurant and are way overpriced for the food that they serve. The food is marginal. I don't mind paying top price for good food but the Lone Eagle really takes advantage of people's pockets because of their location more

We first ate Jean-Pierre Doignon's superb, everything-from-scratch modern Burgundian cuisine at La Cheminee in King's Beach, the most wonderful restaurant we ever ate in anywhere in the world. The state took the property after just a few years and an all-too-brief era of culinary excellence came to an end. Not long after J-P opened the larger but far lower-priced Bistro... more

I really wanted my experience to be better so I could write a better review. But being honest, it was horrible. I am pretty flexible, and I don't expect a lot. However if I am going to be spending $85.00 a person for a pre-fix menu, I expect good food and good service. It was lacking both. We went on... more

This is one of two "must visit" restaurants we visit every time we come to Tahoe (other is Hacienda de la Sierra). This nondescript place in the back corner of the Christmas Village shopping center has never disappointed. The prices are reasonable with burgers and sandwiches costing $7-$10. We're not fans of the indoor dining which is "low rent coffee... more

I can't disagree with the other reviewers - there's nothing overwhelmingly great about this place, but I will say it is the one restaurant I insist on visiting every time we come to North Lake Tahoe (once or twice year). It is a generic mexican restaurant, but I think it's better than the chain restaurants, and for one of the... more
