Iguazu Falls are the most beautiful fall I have been. It is situated along the border between Brazil and Argentina with almost 300 cascades spreading in a horsehoe shape over nearly 2 miles of the Iguazu River. Although it's off the beaten path (i.e. requiring a separate plane ticket to get here from any major tourist city), it is definitely worth the effort to stop and see the falls if you are visiting Argentina, Brazil, or Uruguay. We flew with TAM Airline from Sao Paulo to Foz da Iguassu and toured the area. View from plane incredible. The falls are spectacular with the new modern information centre a great lead in to the bus ride to the falls. Views across to Argentina are magnificent and the roar of the falls is tremendous.
