My husband and I drove out here on our last day in Vegas. Well worth the short drive. We went out there late afternoon and the sky was beautiful as the sun was setting. A definite thing to do while in Vegas. A great way to get away from all the chaos of the casinos etc. more

My husband and I went to Red Rock on our recent trip to Vegas (July 2008). It was amazing! The rock formations and colors were beautiful. It was a very hot day (117), so we opted to take the scenic drive instead of hiking. It is some of the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen. We went to the conservatory... more

We visited Red Rock for a second time in June 2008. It is a welcome break from the busy Las Vegas city and nice to get some fresh air and peace and quiet. Well worth a drive out. more

Really enjoyed the rock formations. Wife and I took a break from the casinos and went to get some fresh air. Beautiful scenery. Enjoyed a short hike to the red rock formations. Climbing these rocks is fun. When the heat is too much, you can easily find a rock with a cave-like formation where you can sit and relax. RRC... more

See, now I'm rating nature. It seems a little wrong to do that, but I am advising people here after all, so I guess I'm justified. The national parks and "conservation areas" like this in the desert southwest are magnificent, and this isn't any exception. If you've been to Zion or Bryce Canyon, you'll find some of the rock formations... more

Nice place to get away from the strip. It's not a very far drive. Beautiful scenery. If visiting in March bring a jacket!! It's so much cooler there than on the strip. I was freezing the whole time. more

This was a great idea and such a contrast to the big city in the desert. Neil was great. He was ready for everything - I had a Aussie hat but he had extra hats and backpacks and snacks and even lip balm. He picked us up and helped decide what to do based on our experience (bouldering in Wisconsin).... more

I took a half day trip away from The Strip with the kids and really enjoyed the scenery. Well worth the $5 entry fee and an easy drive from the strip, 30-40 minutes. Impressive scenery, rock climbing and hiking. Pack a picnic lunch for your trip and explore several trails. We hiked the trail to Calico Tank, a naturally occurring... more

Awesome place to get away from the traffic and crowds of the casino's. You can hike the rocks. Beautiful 13 mile one-way road around the rocks. $5 / car well worth it. A short drive outside Vegas off hwy 159 (Charleston Blvd). To get around fast in Vegas, use the Interstates. more
