We stayed at the Ginza Yoshimizu Ryokan for two nights in October 2008. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Our room had bamboo flooring, shoji screens on the windows, and we reserved a room with a modern western bathroom attached (it had a vessel sink, shower, and toilet). The ryokan provided us with yukata robes to wear while... more

A beautiful, clean & calm oasis in the centre of Ginza. This is a very modern, yet charming ryokan, decked out in natural materials such as wood, bamboo & straw. The staff & owners are polite, charming & very helpful. We arrived after almost two weeks on the road in Japan with a mountain of laundry which was washed &... more

Rooms have tatami floors, floor cushions (which have backs) for sitting and a table. At night you move the... more

This traditional japanese hotel in the heart of stylish Ginza is totally ecofriendly, staff included. I loved every minute there, and enjoyed the proximity to Tsukiji fish market (15 minutes walk). The rooms are rather small but decorated in a beautiful zen-style. more

I just got back from Japan and LOVED it!! I stayed at 3 Ryokans, 2 in Tokyo and 1 in Kyoto. I am pleased to submit this report about Ginza Yoshimizu, a beautiful 11 room Ryokan in the heart of Ginza.. After visiting the Ginza Yoshimizu website, I wasn't sure what to expect. It sounded great. Certainly, based on the... more
