Our honeymoon stay at the GR Solaris was a very disappointing experience. The web site was very misleading. The beach was very small and rocky. The resort is not near anything so you have quite steep cabfares if you decide to leave the resort(trust me you will). We were under the impression that nonmoterized water sports were included and they... more

We were a group of nine people ranging in ages from 15 to grandmother (I don't dare include her age!) We all agree that this was by far one of the best vacations we ever took. The check in process was very smooth; everything about the resort was explained to us by Henry, who went out of his way to... more

Nice hotel. Clean. Nice size rooms. The grounds are well kept. Activities for all if you want them, but there is no pressure to participate. Nice evening shows. Food was enjoyable, not great, but good. Beach is plenty large and not too busy. It's easy to get downtown from teh hotel. Not much to say about the staff. They aren't... more

We just returned from our first trip to Cancun and before I forgot anything, I wanted to submit a review. I carried out considerable research for this trip and making a choice was difficult. My wife and I were looking for a resort that had it all and my research paid off. At poolside, I learned from guests that have... more

My girlfriend and I had a stay at the GR Solaris from July 13-17th 2008. This was our 2nd straight year staying at the GR Solaris. We had such a good time last year that we decided to book again at the GR Solaris since our expectations were raised so high after last year. We got to the GR Solaris... more

The package price was great. All inclusive: food, drinks! The staff were very hospitable... The only problem we had was after a long day, we had to lay on the hardest bed and listen to our next door neighbor through the connecting door all night long. If you need a good night sleep, do not stay here. more

We stayed at the GR Solaris for 6 days on our honeymoon and it was great. There is plenty of options for restaurants, mostly buffets though. You can make reservations in the nicer restaurants very easily. The all-inclusive is the way to go! The drinks were really good and easily accessible, with waiters even taking orders down by the beach... more

i am 43 and went with my 16 year old daughter for a week. Most of these reviews scared me as I read them but I must say they were wrong!!! The hotel and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and very clean. The rooms are a good size and I never had any air conditioning problems. Upon check in which... more

My friend and I just got back from a 4 day trip to Cancun where we stayed at the GR Solaris. The trip was above and beyond our expectations for the price we paid! We were so pleased and can't stop talking about it! From the moment you walk into the GR Solaris you are taken care of by the... more

My wife and I just returned from GR Solaris last night. We went with two other couples. We had previously went to the Solaris in Los Cabos in December and had an awsome time. We expected the same from this resort in Cancun. Check in was OK. We had to meet with our "personal representative" to get an overview of... more
