My daughter and I stayed three nights at the Pacific Palisades Hotel. We had a 1BR suite on the 14th floor, which had a balcony overlooking Robson St with nice city and distant water views. It was spacious with a sofa bed in the living room, TV armoire, chair, desk, dining table, and kitchenette. The furnishings and the room in... more

Staying here depends on your needs. If you want to be close to shopping and restaurants this is a good choice. The property used to be a condominum, so the king suites are very spacious--the room included a living and dining area with a sink and counter...so a good choice for families and extended stays. However, this hotel is really,... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and were pleasantly surprised at check-in when we were upgraded to a one b.r. suite. Room decor was modern/asian with a citrus color scheme, which was visually refreshing. Loved the comfy bed after the long trip to Vancouver, and had a great view from our room. This is the first time we... more

We stayed for 5 nights in early June, and since we returned have read some of the reviews. The location is excellent, as are the staff and also some of the added features eg wine reception each evening. The health suite is superb. As mentioned elsewhere, the two buildings are served by two fairly slow lifts which give no indication... more

I traveled to Vancouver for a business trip last week, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Pacific Palisades. As it was booked by my work, I have no idea what the cost was, but was very impressed by the hotel. I would say I am a seasoned traveler, and would also have to say that I am not picky... more

First of all, you cannot ask for a better location that the Pacific Palisades location. Located downtown, it is easy walking to a wide variety of restaurants and shopping. And there are two Big Bus pick ups/drop offs nearby. Our room was very nice. We especially enjoyed the kitchenette area. After tiring days spent sightseeing, my husband and I opted... more

Now this hotel is renowed for the celebrities that use to stay there in the 70s and 80s. Staff were great, actually gave us an upgrade to basically a one bedroom on the 19th floor. This type of room would be ideal for families and longer stays. Bedding was heavenly and I loved the toilitries. But unfortunately that is about... more

The location is the key for this hotel. There are other hotels in the strip on the Robson Street but this one had the best combination of being affordable, perfectly located, and with some attractive hotel features. I enjoyed the swimming pool and the jacuzzi, busboys are very handy, Romina at the recept. desk was very friendly, free Starbucks coffee... more

Many of our observations were already mentioned by others, namely the overpriced parking ($25/night) and the fact that the property looks to be a lot nicer on the internet than it is in person. The hotel feels like an apartment building that has undergone mediocre renovations. The bathroom in our suite still felt dated and the chipped paint on the... more

Dear Marleygirl5, Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on Trip Advisor. I have read several comments now about our parking being overpriced and our hotel looking like an apartment building and I wanted to take the opportunity to respond to your comments. Your comments regarding our parking prices lead me to again do a comparative parking...

We stayed at the Pacific Palisades on our return from Whistler - only one night; we wished it could have been longer. It felt like we were in our own little apartment in the city with a balcony and a fabulous view of the bay - and a spectacular sunset. When we checked in we were greeted with enthusiasm and... more
