3 x GOOD = good location, good price, good accomodation I stayed in Havinn in September. As someone has already mentioned the breakfast is nice ( I loved the brown, poppyseed bread they have :-) and it is good to be able to use fridge and microwave. Now few words about the rooms - yes they also did not clean... more

I have just returned from my eighth but definitely not last stay at the Havinn at 118 Spadina in Toronto. Gary, the owner, has been remarkably accomodating, kind, and friendly during each of my visits. This clean, character filled Victorian house provides many great benefits for the Toronto tourist and/or student. The two rooms I have stayed in have been... more

This is a budget B&B, and the owners do a lot to keep the costs down. For example, the rooms are not serviced every day (and not at all during our 3-night stay). Much of the furniture is old (some of the handles were broken on the dresser in our room). There is some chipped/peeling paint. Breakfast (which is continental:... more

My hubby and I just returned to the USA from an absolutely delightful one-week visit to Toronto where we stayed at Havinn B&B. I could hardly wait to write this review. We are happy we listened to the many positive reviews here! Anyhow, Gary and his lovely Japanese wife couldn't have been more kind and gracious. Very relaxing atmosphere, just... more

We stayed at Havinn for traveling in Canada, It was reasonable price and nice owner advised us how to get sightseeing points. Breakfast was excellent. And location, just 5min to get subway station. ( Dupont or Spadina )There were only shared bath rooms but, clean. I will recommend to stay there for someone wants to stay with good price. more

Short review: The Havinn bathrooms are disgustingly dirty and Gary, the owner, is a complete jerk. Long review: I stayed at the Havinn with 4 other people, one of whom was disabled and could walk only with the help of crutches. When we first got there it seemed ok. We booked two rooms and my friend and I were planning... more

I stayed at Havinn last year based upon all the glowing reviews. It was my first B and B stay - since then, I have been to several others. It is definitely a great value - you get a good clean room with a comfortable bed in a trendy, safe, area. I never felt unsecure walking back late at night... more

Just back from a trip to Ontario. We stayed in Havinn for a couple of nights at each end of our tour and totally loved it. The house is in a fantastic location and is within walking distance to most downtown attractions and is also close to the subway. The house is a beatiful old Victorian style house with lovely... more

I can't really add a lot to the other reviews on here, only to say that this has to be one of the best value accomodation options in Toronto! Gary is a very friendly host.. My room was a good size and had a nice comfortable double bed. The breakfast buffet is good, a nice range of things to eat,... more
