There are much nicer hotels for the same amount of money and in better locations. This hotel is in an out of the way side street/alleyway and we could observe from our window people pissing in the street during the day, and vomiting at night. To reach the main entrance, you are walking down the narrow pavement past the back... more

We needed a place to stay for 5 days in Edinburgh at a reasonable cost. We paid 95 pounds per night. Parliament House is convenient to everything and is a cozy "home" with friendly, helpful staff. The Bistro serves excellent food and the service is outstanding. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff were effficient. . It was quiet... more

I booked my stay here back in February. This was a special occasion as it was my parents 30th wedding anniversary and I advised the hotel when booking. We were quoted £190 per room per night for a double and £250 per room per night for a family room with the promise of an upgraded room for my parents if... more

After we parked it took a little figuring out where this hotel was due to some revovation work happing in adjecent buildings, but once we found it, it was a good hotel with nice very friendly staff. The room was ample sized and had all the ameneties you expect, and clean without question. Breakfast was served by good keen staff... more

I booked this hotel as a surprise weekend away for me and my new hubby. Took a little while to find (due to my terrible map reading skills!) but once we got out of the cold edinburgh wind into the lovely warm Parliament House Hotel with its open fire in the lobby I knew it was going to be a... more

Got a great price of £79 B & B for 2 through lastminute the day before we arrived. Really central location. We stayed in a room right above the foyer in the original part of the hotel, so can't speak for the modern parts. Room 5 was very large, had twin aspect windows and was clean and fresh. Breakfast was... more

Stayed here for 1 night in Feb08. The location is great and within a 10 min walk of Waverly Station just off Waterloo Road next to the Howies restaurant. On arriving the receptionist was extremely nice and the open fire was just what was required as it was a freezing cold day. I had only booked the hotel 3 days... more

We stayed here for only one night after traveling around Scotland to catch our flight home. Very nice lobby. Small, but classically furnished. Great location off Princes street. It is walkable to all sites. Best suited for the shopping section of Edinburgh. It sits below the Scottish Memorial which has great views of the city. Our room was nice, clean,... more

Stayed for two nights in December. Hotel within easy walking distance of Waverley Station. Rooms fine but surprising to find there was no bar, drinks are served in the lounge. We were on a room only tariff so paid dearly at £8.50 for continental breakfast with no reduction for children. If returning I would book an inclusive tariff as it... more

Since I was travelling "off season" I got a great rate through Orbitz, with a discount code it came to just under $100 US/night. In summary, I got a great deal for the price, but there are a few things to be aware of when selecting this hotel. I stayed in 406, and although small by US standards, the room... more
