Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind comments on tripadvisor and we look forward to welcoming you back to Dublin and the O'callaghan Alexander Hotel. Kind Regards
I do not understand the comments made by some poeple on this site...o'callaghan alexander was a very nice hotel. It had quite clearly just under gone re-furbishment and was very clean and modern..not dirty and dated as some have made out. The room we stayed in was on the 3rd floor (6322) and was absolutely great...enormous king size bed with... more
We stayed at the O'Callaghan Alexander for 3 nights in Sept 2008. The room was so unpleasant that we actually searched for another hotel the next morning and willing to forfeit what we had paid for the remaining 2 nights. Because of lack of availability anywhere else (not surprisingly, only the O'Callaghan chain had availability), we had to settle for... more
This is a good hotel in a quiet spot-- only blocks from The National Gallery, Trinity College, and the DART. The Alexander seems safe and secure too. Room was clean, bright, cozy and sunny, and the bed with duvet cover is extremely comfortable. Bathroom was tidy and modern with basic amenities. The only minor issues were in the room itself,... more

Spent 2 nights here ar the begining of a 1 week trip to Ireland. This was a great choice to kick off the week. The hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to Trinity College, Grafton St, Temple Bar area as well as the National Gallery - but it is on a side street, away from the noise... more

I stayed in the Alexander recently, arriving very late at night after a long flight. The hotel staff were very helpful , getting me something to eat and organising a taxi for me for the next morning for my onward journery at an early hour. My room was comfortable and very clean with ample towels. I have stayed at the... more
My husband and my two college age children stayed at the Alexander Hotel from July 25-July 28. Our oldest is an exchange student at Dublin City College and we wanted a hotel convenient for her to visit us. The Alexander let us check in early which was great after flying all night from the states. The location is perfect for... more
As I worked in a very busy environment at the time, a hospital and I was really looking forward to time away. It was my boyfriends birthday and I had treated him to a flight to Spain, I also wanted to surprise him with a hotel room in Dublin before we took off which he was unaware of. I had... more
We have just come back from a long weekend at the Alexander and cannot fault this hotel at all. We had a very pleasant surprise at being able to check in early, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the bed was huge and very comfortable, the breakfast was very good and we ordered room service one night and was... more
Room and food were both very basic for the price. Quite a bad smell in the bedroom area . Was asked to be moved and thankfully was moved to a new room (not smelly!). Good central loacation more
