This hotel was great! My husband and I stayed here for just one night mid-June, but it was wonderful. It was updated, nice sized room, and a large bathroom. We had a room on the top floor and it had a large balcony with table and chairs. We were just sorry we could not stay here longer! We took the... more

We absolutely loved our stay here. After sharing a few jokes with the front desk about how likely it is that only Americans stay here b/c it is a Best Western, we were assured that wasn't the case. It really is a very pleasant hotel. The centrality of its location is unsurpassed-- just between Calloa and Plaza del Sol, adjacent... more

This hotel was in an excellent location. Rooms were clean and bathrooms modern with a good shower and plenty of piping hot water. We booked 3 rooms for 7 people. 2 doubles and 1 triple. The 2 double rooms were on the top floor with a terrace. Very quiet in both of these and the terrace was nice to sit... more

We stayed for three nights and were not impressed. Located close to Discos, Friday and Saturday nights impossible to sleep. Also, there is no free shuttle to airport as we were lead to believe. It cost us 57 Euros to and from airport. Good location but not worth the price. Would not stay there again. Another hotel we stayed at... more

We've now stayed at this hotel four times and are still very pleased with it. This time we had a room on the 5th floor with a spacious balcony, which was perfect in the warm weather. The rooms are modern and spacious, with all the amenities. The first floor lounge area is very inviting, and there is free internet access.... more

This hotel was in a fine location in the Centro, but the room we had was a dark cell on the interior of the hotel. One small window overlooking the alley. The beds and pillows were basic. Everything was clean, but it was pretty much a motel room for a price that was not much less than the Hotel Velazquez... more

This hotel was ideally situated near to many restaurants, coffee shops, tapas bars and shops. Metro less than a five minute walk, making it a good base to discover and explore Madrid. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was extremely clean and breakfast was enjoyable. more

The location of the Carlos V is very good. It is a side street off the main square Peuto del Sol. The staff were very helpful and there is free internet access behind the dining room- which helped us alot to get around the city. As we had managed to get a deal for flights and 2 nights at this... more

On our first trip to Spain this was the hotel we stayed at while in Madrid. I loved the location but it was hard for the taxi driver to find..after running the meter up, he finally decided we needed to walk to the door because he couldn't drive the taxi to the front door...The desk staff was friendly enough...helpful when... more
