My friend and I stayed here on the first night of our trip in 2004. I had meant to write a review but kept putting it off because I did not know exactly what to say. We had reserved a room with two beds and a private bath but got a room with 1 bed (a small double) and a... more

The building seems to be an old house converted into a hotel. Our room was extremely big, not something you usually get. It is very old style, marble floor, antique furniture, very Venice like. The room was very clean. Shower and toilets were clean as well although very plain. Many people mentioned the steep stairs going up to the rooms.... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights before/after our cruise that left from Venice. We researched many hotels and this one had the most reasonable price that we found. It was hardly a bargain, but in Venice everything is so expensive that comparatively speaking it was a good value. The staff was very friendly and helpful.... more

My boyfriend and I have just returned from 2 nights at this hotel and found the staff friendly and helpful. It is located in a slightly quieter part of Venice but very close to the Rialto Bridge and within very easy walking distance of anything you may need (transport, restaurants, shops etc). The hotel is very small but really sweet... more

My fiancee and and I loved this hotel. The room was nicely appointed in reds with a huge bed, sofa and desk. It really felt like going back in time to old Venice. Peaceful and relaxing - There was (thankfully) no phone or TV in the room and our window overlooked a canal below. The staff was cordial and the... more

Yeah, we had to walk up four flights of steps to our room, (but Ivan - wonderful front desk clerk helped carry our luggage) but hey, this is Venice! We were very pleased with the location, quiet but very convenient to everything. The continental breakfast, SERVED TO YOUR ROOM EACH MORNING, was excellent: croissants, rolls, jam, great coffee. The rooms... more

This is a great little hotel in Venice. First, if you have a lot of luggage or have trouble climbing stairs, be warned there is no elevator. We were going on a cruise the following day, so we had a lot of luggage that we had to carry up stairs, but we are in our 30's so it wasn't too... more

After staying at an absolute hell hole in Rome we were not expecting this place to be much. We were pleasantly surprised. Our room was quite large with a nice sized bathroom. The shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was server in our roon and was quite tasty. The staff was all very friendly and... more

The Locanda Novo was a very basic hotel, however I was satisfied with its location, cleanliness, quietness and service. This hotel is located in a very difficult spot to find in the small alley ways of venice, however it was located in central venice for a very good price, and a lot of utilities and sights were accessible. Upon arrival... more

Like the prior reviewer, we too, ended up in the room with the scaffolding. It definitely detracts from the ambiance of the place, but I wouldn't be as negative as he was (and by the way, I bet he paid more than double at that Hotel Giorgione that he moved to.) The place definitely has a dingy, run-down feeling, and... more
