Stayed at the Hotel Jane a while back. While it is not a bad hotel, it is small and different than what the typical american is looking for. I had been living in Europe so I was used to these differences, but took my parents while in town. They were dissappointed at what passes for a typical mid-priced euro hotel.... more

Having come back from a 4 night stay in lovely Florence the experience would've been much better if the level of service had been as good as Florence itself. On check in we were given a room on the top floor right next to the lifts. As soon as we walked into the room we were disgusted with the size... more

Dear Mr. Nikhil, Let us express our disappointment in the way you felt you were treated at our hotel, and although the present is not meant as an of apology on our part, but more as an explanation of the causes that may have made you feel unwelcome. During your stay, the hotel had a group of congressmen, whom requested...

Though the location of the hotel was fine... away from the tourist trap center, the hotel has MUCH to be desired. The staff was rude and unfriendly. I have traveled for many years and stayed in a variety of upscale and lowbrow hotels, inns, and B&B's, and I've never been received with such disrespect. And my husband and I are... more

After reading the other reviews, I was fully prepared to be very happy at this hotel. And as the hotel goes, it was fine. It has A/C, which was certainly welcomed, as it was unseasonably hot. However, I was somewhat underwhelmed with the night staff. I had a very important phone call to make, and apparently couldn't use a phone... more

Have just returned from a 4 stay at this hotel. Booked it after reading reviews on this site and we were not disappointed. Bright room, clean bathroom, fluffy towels each day and good choice of continental breakfast. Though we had only booked a triple room we found ourselves in a generous quadruple- great for three girls and all their luggage!... more

We went to Florence in late March. We got lucky with the weather considering there is a lot of walking to be done. The hotel was in the east side of Florence. It was about 20 minutes to walk to the center of town near the Duomo. The area were David is, was about 20 minutes also. The hotel is... more

The oher reviews are pretty accurate. The rooms are basic but clean. The bathroom small and it is true that you can hear everything! The breakfast was fine and the staff helpful. At the end of the day yoiu get what you pay for and it was good value for the money. more

The Hotel Jane is pretty basic for a 3 star. I can confirm all other reviews on different sites which comment on the noise level. You can hear EVERYTHING from other rooms and contrary to what the Italian website says, the rooms are definitely NOT soundproofed. Avoid room no 19, it must be the worst, next to the lift and... more

Hotel Jane was very nice. The room was a larger one than the one we had in Rome. Our room was painted in a cheerful Tuscan pallete of bright earth tones. Writing Desk and two chairs were included as well as a fridge and mini-bar (which we did not use). We had a rear view of some gardens in the... more

We have just returned from a trip to Florence and stayed at Hotel Jane. We arrived at the hotel late in the evening and the reception promptly showed us our quadruple room - we have two children aged 6 and 12. It was a nice, comfortable large room with one double bed and two single beds. Very nicely decorated and... more
