This was a truly amazing experience. Florence is an absolutely beautiful city but due to the number of tourists in the city, eating out can be a bit hit and miss. However, Varennia's cooking is nothing short of spectacular, that, combined with Eduardo's choice picks of local wines makes us feel so lucky to have stayed with them. Each meal... more

My review will sound like the others here but here goes Eduardo and Varinia are the greatest hosts. From the moment we arrived they were so attentive giving us the layout, making suggestions for meals (which I would highly recommend you follow!) even helping us find a local laundromat. As others have mentioned, we did take advantage of Varinia's special... more

What can I say about Eduardo and Varennia that hasn't been said? They are wonderful, charming, terrific company and wonderful cooks. We actually stayed in their new apartment, which is a short walk to the B&B, and I can't tell you how divine it was to stay there. Lots of light, comfortable and well equipped. It was also really nice... more

We had a great time at this bed and breakfast. Varinia and Edoardo the owners REALLY go out of their way to help you as much as they can. We stayed in the green room and loved it. Slept extremely well, it's quiet, intimate and tastefully decorated. I feel so lucky to have stayed there. They are really genuine people... more

My husband, son and I had the pleasure of staying with Varinia and Edoardo last week and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The room is comfortable and the bathroom large and the hairdryer was great. The location is perfect, just across the river. Only 10 or 15 minutes from the train station on foot. Never used any public transportation or taxis.... more

Eduardo and Varinia are incredible hosts - espressos / wine upon arrival, tourism assistance, use of computer, and a wonderful cooking class for my wife and several course meal/wine pairings made our stay in Florence a dream come true. Location is excellent, within walking distance to everything. Room is spacious and well appointed. Breakfasts are pretty much whatever you would... more

My partner and I stayed here for four nights in late May. We were immediately struck both by the friendliness of Varinia and Eduardo's welcome and the sensational smell of our dinner cooking away in Varinia's kitchen. I can't overstate just how fabulous our evening meal was, and the rest of the stay was really good as well. The rooms... more

We tried booking two rooms at Giglio Bianco since we were traveling with another couple, but since there are only two rooms at this B&B and one was already booked, we had to stay elsewhere. Varinia asked if we would like to have dinner there during our stay in Florence, and we decided to take her up on this offer.... more

It’s hard not to fall in love with Eduardo and Varinia, our sweet young hosts at Giglio Bianco. They went out of their way to make our first family visit (3 of us, dad, 16-year old son, and me - mom) to Florence a delightful memory. It is excellently located across from the Pitti Palace and Bobolli Gardens. We were... more

My husband and I recently stayed at Giglio Bianco with another couple and loved our stay. Each of our rooms had its own private bath equipped with robes and blow dryers. Eduardo and Varinia were wonderful hosts. I highly recommend having dinner their one night as Varinia's cooking is worth it! She even taught us how to make homemade pasta!... more
