This motel had a nice atmosphere with an old worldy garden in the middle. The restaurant was quite nice, and the room was ok. The room was quite small and unfortunately overlooked the roof and the airconditioning system on the roof. This particular room therefore was noisy all night. Although the staff were excellent and the location was fabulous the... more

Jeremy from Brisbane stayed 3 nights from 7th May 2008 I should have known this was going to be a bad stay as the web site would not let me confirm the booking. When I rang up it was a couple of dollars more expensive! When we arrived the hotel looked fantastic from the outside, we approached the reception and... more

This older style heritage hotel is quaint. The gardens are pleasant and it is close to the CBD. I was here to attend a conference. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but not as clean as it should be. The shower head is at chest height and the water temperature temperamental. Television channel choice was limited. It is cold... more

I picked the Hotel Canberra based on its close location to a meeting venue and its price. It was comfortable, quiet and clean. In close walking distance to Civic and it had a good bar and restaurant. On arrival the TV and phone did not work and there were no towels. But while I had a free drink in the... more

The hotels website may possibly give thier rooms a maybe "nicer than in person perspective" but they are very spacious and clean and even though photos may change the appaerance a little, who's not to expect that from a hotels own website? Breakfast is a must... deffiantly opt for it on choice of being included in room rate! both continental... more

I stayed in a heritage room, and it was small. It was comfortable and safe and clean though. However, my second night of my stay there was a huge party going on in the garden, and it was so loud it sounded like the people were in my room for a while. Reception said/did nothing about this. Otherwise, they were... more

Ok, so the hotel was a little old and worn. Our room was a cheaper one in the older part of the hotel. It overlooked the central gardens (which were lovely) so was quiet. It was small and the air conditioner worked but was old - as was everything else in the room. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling... more

Breakfast excellent in a nice setting. Close to the War Memorial and set in a lovely suburban location.... more

Stayed here with work, the room was comfy with a big warm bed. The courtyard was plesent, and the overall feel of the hotel could be described as quaint. Location was OK, near the War Memorial but you definitely need a car to get around. Would use again... more

Overall was not happy with the choice of this hotel. We were a group of 4 staying in one of the loft rooms. Liked the room layout but it was quite old and even though it was cleaned, there was a dirty feeling. Bed sheets had stains and were ripped. Mattresses not great. Do not go to the restaurant, besides... more
