We have just returned from Queenstown House and cannot speak highly enough of the place. Louise and her team are so helpful and at breakfast we met lots of other guests. As Louise has such a great manner she had everyone chatting to each other. There was an earthquake while we were there but the bed was so comfortable we... more

While I complain about the steep hill {& it was very steep], I appreciate that it kept us away from the Qtown party scene which went on until 4am. Positives: Matt, Brian & Louise [out hosts] could not have been more helpful. They made all our bookings & gave us lots of advise. Drinks were a nice idea & appreciated... more

A place with a very good reputation in Queenstown. Great views ( but watch out for the steep climb up the hill - I mean STEEP!!), excellent breakfast and pre dinner chats with other guest over a drinks. Paul and Matt were excellent hosts and very helpful. Paul was particularly keen to pursuade me to do a parachute jump and... more

We liked this place quite alot - the breakfasts and happy hours were excellent, the hosts were very helpful, and the villa we stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable - we would stay here again. The only downer was the steep hill to climb back to it. more

Rooms were NZ $250+ and were not very special. The rooms on the website looked larger and more unique. Instead, the room was like any average hotel room with nothing special about them. Comfortable enough but for the same money could get something better in Q-town. The hosts were friendly enough but were not great help with advice on outdoor... more

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B. It was located convenient to downtown, but a steep uphill walk to return. The breakfasts were excellent and served in a room with a wonderful views. The staff made many great suggestions on places to eat and activities to do. more

I don't normally write reviews, but the previous review of this inn prompted me to say something...I found the Queenstown House to be absolutely wonderful. We were there for 5 nights in Mar, the view was wonderful, overlooking Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu and a short walk to the town center. The wine & cheese gatherings in the evenings are a... more

We were very disappointed by the size of the room. It was very small and hot! We had to leave all the windows and doors open and it was still like a sauna! The shower room was in need of a complete overhaul, it was small and dated. Otherwise everybody was very friendly and helpful. the evening 'drinks do' was... more
