While the location of the hotel is outstanding, I'm not sure this benefit warrants the price of the rooms for a couple of reasons. The David Citadel is a pretty hotel, but has some major flaws for such an expensive hotel (over $500 per night). First, expect long lines at check-in. The David Citidel is between the King David and the Jaffa Gate of the Old City, making its location THE best for access to the Old City. Perfect location - walk for ten minutes and be at the Old City. Incredible views of the Old City walls from the dining area. Beautiful building with lovely common areas. VERY POOR SERVICE! Have never been treated with such attitude in all of my travels. Very slow response time when requests are made.
