I have spent the Summer in Punta del Este for every one of my 30 years and had stayed here previously so I reccommended it to some friends, which I deeply regret. Upon arrival they were told the rooms they had reserved in November were no longer available at the price they had reserved and paid a first night deposit... more

The location is excellent, in Punta's downtown. Avoid the front rooms, are too noisy. Dirty room. more

I just returned home from South America. 5 nights were at Hotel Champagne. Because we were there during high season, Dec 28th to Jan 2nd, we had to book a minimum of 5 nights, which seemed standard when we talked to other people. Compared to our friends room at Hotel Amsterdam, our room was actually a little nicer. However, they... more

We were backpacking and usually staying in very basic hotels, so the Hotel Champagne was a real treat. It was central, very clean, spacious and not too expensive. Breakfast was an excellent buffet. We were there in the off-season and there wasn't a lot to do, otherwise we would have stayed longer. Highly recommended! more
