I stayed in this hotel for 4 days whilst running a workshop in a nearby hotel. Amenities: The gym costs US$8 per day or US$15 for two days - they have a good range of cardio and weight equipment and the pool looked good but I didn't try it. I had two massages here at 20.000 pesos per hour (approx.... more

I think irrespective of where one stays, Santiago is a must-visit city. I had a great time even though I was there on a very short 2 day work trip. This hotel is in a good location as it's very close to a lot of the restraunts and therefore one has the opportunity to experiment outside the hotel. I was... more

...seems to be the atmosphere at the front desk. The first night, my closet light wouldn't turn off and kept me up all night. Turned out to be a broken microswitch in the closet door. The next morning, I discovered a leak around the toilet where water flowed while the shower was running. The water pooled and covered the entire... more

I stayed seven days in the Intercontinental for business the beginning of June, 2008. The hotel is situated close to the US Embassy, in the "Sanhattan" part of Santiago, the modern and upscale business district. I stayed in a standard double room, which was in very good condition. The furniture and bed were tastefull and comfortable. The bathroom had sepaprate... more

I stayed at Hotel Intercontinental, Santiago, Chile on May 12-13, 2008. It is in a nice location, near plenty of restaurants (try Miguel Torres restaurant around the corner). The staff were not very friendly or accomodating. They advertise a gym (on 18th floor) but did not advertise that they charge $8.00 USD per day of use. This is misleading. Also,... more

We arrived at 10.30am after a 14 hour flight. I know check in is supposed to be 3.00pm but we weren't given our rooms even then. One couple had to wait till 4.20pm. We were exhausted by then. Apart from that everything was fine. Comfortable rooms, staff always pleasant, bar/restaurant offering good menu and very good breakfast. more

Was booked into the IC Santiago as part of a business group. We were all put into the old tower, and it is VERY shabby. Worn carpet, thin sheets, greyish towels. Hot water disappeared on a random basis (no, the water didnt run cold, there just wasnt any water coming out of the hot 'tap'). I asked for it to... more

Not a bad hotel but be warned up front.. there are two towers at this hotel -- the old tower had nice rooms but have not been updated and they all have air conditioning issues.. which we found out . We stayed at one room on the third floor and tried to use the air -- did not work.. We... more

Stayed there for 5 nights on a business but the exprience I had was awful. the internet did not work but got fixed on the second day. The sheets had spots on them and when I asked for a cab to the airport to be charged to my room they some how managed to bungle it. I thought the InterCon... more

Stayed here as part of a package tour so I had no choice in the hotel selection. The negative reviews on this place are on target though. I was given a room where almost nothing worked and the sink was stopped up big time. The front desk was crowded consistently as a lot of cruise packages seemed to be in... more
