We stayed at Aspara for three nights while exploring Luang Prabang. It is very conveniently located and relatively quiet - being one street down from the main street with its hoards of tourists. It overlooks the river which is pleasant, but rubbish dumped down the bank and occasional strong smells can reduce the pleasure. The hotel has been converted from... more

The hotel replied to our emails promptly, and we arranged an airport pickup. But they never showed up. When we arrived in a taxi, the reception didn't quite understand the issue and didn't really seem to be concerned. When we got to our room, our toilet and sink didn't work; it was fixed promptly, but the issue actually happened again.... more

we stayed here for 5 days in an upstairs standard room. The loaction is great, room and food fabulous and the staff were so helpful. It was a bit noisy but you are in the center of town. if we went back again I would stay somewhere with a pool as it was hot and a swim would have been... more

Strongly endorse other great reviews. Friendly service, stylish decor, great location - easy early morning walk to watch the Thak Baat at dawn. The manager Ivan and his team are very helpful, and their advice pre- and during our stay was invaluable. Wd strongly recommend the upstairs balcony room with 4 poster (altho' the balcony is very narrow and shared... more

We booked the Apsara based on TripAdvisor reviews and we can only repeat the positive reviews already given for this hotel. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms which had a balcony overlooking the street below. Our room was charming and both air conditioning and a ceiling fan kept it cool. The bathroom was clean and a good size.... more

My husband and I stayed in a standard upstairs room at the Apsara at a rate of $70/night for 3 nights in April of 2008. We booked at the Apsara based on the positive feedback on tripadvisor and the hotel far exceeded our expectations! Luang Prabang is an enchanting, laid back, and incredibly well preserved city and the Apsara provides... more

Very nice hotel with an ideal location in a quiet part of an already very quiet city. Very nice bar and restaurant as well. Easy walking distance to where every you wish to go in the town. Get a room upstairs- the floors are all made of wood so you will hear everyone's footsteps on the lower floors. A great... more

I have just returned from the Apsara which is a charming hotel in every respect. The rooms are beautifully appointed and are both comfortable and immaculately clean. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming and will do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible right from the moment you are met at the airport. We also spent four... more

I can confirm other reviews - this is an excellent choice, superb location, good facilities and quiet. All major tourist sights within walking and excellent choices of dining. I would total recommend the Apsara to anyone - and good value for money. more

We stayed here for 3 nights having moved from Maison Souvannaphoum at the other side of town. Location is really good. Located by the Nam Khan River, the quietest and most picturesque part of LP old town. The Apsara have two buildings close to each other both of which have retained all the features of the original buildings. We stayed... more
