We stayed at coco beach as part of our honeymoon. We booked a 3 star hotel and were pleasantly suprised at how attentive the staff were, how clean it was and the quality of the food. Some parts of the hotel need a lick of paint and the bathrooms need updating, but everything worked and was spotlessly clean. We stayed... more

Stayed at Le Coco Beach for a week in September. The service was excellent. The staff are very attentive and cannot do enough for you. The faciltiies are very good as well given the 4 beaches and the ample outdoor pool. We loved it and have already recommended it to friends. The one thing that lets it done is that... more

For context, this was our 6th All Inclusive long haul holiday, the last being a 5 star hotel. Previous reviews had me a little concerned, but we had a fabulous holiday. I emailed in advance asking for a nice room. When we arrived we asked to be shown the superior rooms in the villas - they didn't sell themselves and... more

Le Coco beach hotel is a shabby run down 1970's hotel which should be demolished to make way for a clean and shiny 3* hotel. What a let down to find that the restaurant was filthy and the food disgusting. The bird infested tables in the dining areas are a health hazard and are not moved away by the staff.... more

Our party of 15, including 5 children stayed here for 10 nights. We were all very apprehensive about the hotel as we had read some awful reviews, but we needn't have worried, we had a fantastic time. You are in an idylic location and lets face it, yes the rooms could do with an update but when you are in... more

In the end we made the best of it - however our first room which was supposed to be their best standard was unsafe - crumbling balcony, spiral staircase completely unsuitable for a two year old, torn settee - very tattered - changed rooms - only to have sewer rats scuttling around during the night - we have them on... more

Having waited over 14 years to save up enough money to go to mauritius I had been glancing down at my 1987 Mauritius brochure, and this hotel really stuck out for me. When I arrived, this hotel was more than I could ever imagine. When I arrived on the mini bus I disembarked to find they had arranged a local... more

The Coco Beach has gone downhill terribly. We visited it 10 years ago, thought it was great, and decided to go back 2 weeks ago with our young daughter. Unfortunately now it is incredibly tired and sad. Our room (superior), was spartan. There was mould creeping up the curtains, the wood in the bathroom was perished, a piece of the... more

We have just returned from a wonderful 11 day holiday at Coco Beach. I would agree that the hotel is due a refurb, and this is scheduled to happen in 2009. Yes, there are lots of small birds in the restaurant and it took me a day or so to adjust to that but the warmth of the Mauritian people,... more

Having read some of the reviews of Le Coco Beach on this site I was slightly concerned that it would be less than we hoped. I should have known better and listened to those who praised the resort. OK it is not a 5 star resort and it looks a little tired, but it has so much going for it.... more
