I would echo the other reviewers' praise for Cookie and Ivan's hospitality. They were extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is cozy and clean and I enjoyed the breakfast (coffee, fruit and toast) they had every morning. They also had a public computer with free internet. I just got back from Bocas Del Toro and stayed at Tierra Verde. It's a great hotel with really cool hosts. If you are surfer this is the place for you and if you are not this is still the place for you. Cookie and Ivan are great hosts and really laid back. They know a lot about the town... more

My husband and I were there for our anniversary and Carenero was nicely situated and Tierra Verde was wonderful! Cookie and Stephanie were so helpful and friendly yet not instrusive in the least. Stayed during September and had a great time. Echo what everyone else has said about Cookie, Ivan & Stephanie. They are always available if you need them, but leave you to your own accord as well. Helped us set up a couple of excursions and gave us great suggestions on where to eat. more
