The subway is in the basement -perfect for castle and Western temple district-and the bus outside of the hotel gets you quickly to N Kyoto. we stayed at this lovely hotel in may. it was location was great. it was a beautiful hotel and the staff was extremely helpful. The location is close to Gion. There are lots of restaurants located nearby and lots of activity at night. outside. There is a subway right below the hotel. more
