I've been at this hotel several times before, but this is my first time since it was remodeled. It is still a very nice hotel with traces of the Ritz Carlton's traditional late 19th century glamour, but it has been updated. Instead of the crystal in the all the hallways and in the bathroom the lights have been replaced with... more

I was a little worried when I read all of the negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. My Wife & I booked the "Reconnect" package to go up and see the fireworks over the 4th of July. For the package, we received valet parking, breakfast, metro tickets & tickets to the Newseum. When we arrived, the Bellman & Valet... more

I have stayed at other R-C properties and this didn't have the same feel as the others. I would say it was on-par with a Sheraton or Marriott. I got to the room and there was no remote. I called to the concierge and they brought one after about a half an hour. I write to my kids when I... more

I am a frequent and loyal guest of Ritz Carlton. This was my family's first stay at this property. I was very dissapointed in the service upon check in as well as the condition of the room. After expressing my concerns, and in some instances, receiving argumentative responses from the front desk staff, we finally were told we would be... more

We stayed here over Memorial Day Weekend. The valets and bellmen were welcoming, quick and efficient. Same can be said for the Front desk and check-in. Had club floor, the staff could not do enough to please, and they were running pretty good that weekend. The Hotel areas and the room were spotless. Housekeeping and maintenance really are doing a... more

I stayed at the Ritz for 2 nights in March. I had been there before and found it to be flawless. This time, there were substantial renovations taking place in the bar and grill area, which were advertised as being finished by the time of my visit, but were not. The room was excellent, with a wonderful bed, spotless bathroom... more

The hotel is very attractive and nicely appointed. However, the service doesn't come close to matching the reputation and price of the hotel and the chain. It seems that some of the staff treat all requests as if the traveler had lots of time. Yes, the doormen come running to your cab when you arrive, but after that it's lethargic.... more

I've enjoyed Afternoon Tea at this location for well over a decade, but they've down-graded the service, and I'll never go again. It's just not worth it anymore. At my last visit, the Thursday before Xmas, the tea room was busy, as you'd expect. The scones tasted like putting baking powder directly into your mouth. They weren't fluffy and tasty.... more

Have stayed here multiple times on business. The beds are the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. By the end of the first day the doorman and valet know your first name and are welcoming you with a smile. The front desk can be a little brisk sometimes, but do thier best to please. Metro stop right at the... more

I have stayed here each year for several years, and this year it did not seem quite as nice as previously. The front desk did not give me the king NS room I had requested (though they said that was what it was when I was given my key.) When I returned to the desk, they first said there were... more
