If you want to be in downtown Cape Town for a good price this place is for you. The decor is very basic but O.K. The hotel seemed very secure. I spent one night at the Tulip Inn in May 2007. I would recommend it based on location alone - it is smack in the middle of the city, with shops, banks, a mall, and a tourist centre (with affordable internet) only blocks away.
