We recently returned from a 3 day trip to Sedona at the Amara Resort. Everything went great the whole time. The resort is beautiful and relaxing. We had probably some of the best service we've ever had. Our room was keep very clean and we loved the comfortable bed, massage shower head, and our patio overlooking the lawn area. It... more

Just returned from a five night stay at the Amara, and enjoyed every minute of it. The location, the staff, the room, the beds, and the scenery were wonderful. I plan on staying there again next year. The only complaint I had was that the bathtub was very slippery and I almost fell the first night. The next morning I... more

We have stayed at Amara Resort before and have always enjoyed it. While it has become a more popular destination, it still has very high quality in its rooms, its access to the creek and its food. We are no longer fans of Uptown Sedona because it is touristy, overcrowded and warm. Amara, however, is situated down the hill from... more

I called the resort directly to inquire about their pet policy. I was told there is a $75 pet fee and pets are only allowed in Signature Rooms. I asked if there are any restrictions and was told only the fee. I reserved our room directly with the hotel because they had a better rate than their own website and... more

Upon arrival, the bell staff treated us like owners. Terrific first impression. Rooms were on the "courtyard" adjacent to the pool and hot tub. Decor was pleasant, not luxurious but one must know this isn't a Four Seasons reort. Wonderful creek at the base of the property added to the serenity. Where else would you expect to find, not only... more

The Amara was an absolute dream. The service was friendly (especially the valet guys and concierge John), the room had the most incredible bed, and the decor was great. And the food! Dinner was amazing, so was breakfast and lunch (my husband is still talking about that BLT). The views from the dining room was so beautiful and so was... more

The staff is unprofessional. The spa is excellent for a massage, but horrible for a manicure, unless you want the manicurist pitching her book the whole time. The food is terrible and overpriced. Uncooked lamb and uncooked scallops were served to our table. The location is excellent, located in the center of Sedona, which is the hotels only saving grace.... more

I booked a "Romantic Rendezvous" package over the phone on the morning of May 22nd for a check-in of that day with a stay of May 22nd and May23rd with a checkout on May 24th. I paid for 2 nights of the Romantic Rendezvous package and I asked her specifically over the phone if by booking that package for 2... more

My husband and I planned a weekend trip to Sedona for our anniversary. It's rare we get to travel without our three year old son, so we wanted to stay someplace special even if it cost more than we would normally spend. We came across Amara on one of the popular travel sites and after reading through all the awards... more

The Amara Resort & Spa is beautiful, the staff is amazing and accomodations are first rate! Located in Sedona AZ, there is nothing bad I can say about our 4 days there. It was a girls get-away weekend and we had a terrific time. Weather was cooler than expected, but a sweater would take care of any chilly mornings and... more
