Chanced upon the website of Uma Paro and was impressed that they are able to help to make all arrangements to Bhutan from visa, to air ticket to my tours. Thus decided to sign up for their Blessings of Bhutan and Druk Path Trek 10 Night Itinerary. All the arrangements were done with a breeze and I was all prepared... more

I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a 9 day stay in Bhutan with my 70 year old mother in tow as this was a burthday treat for her. I wanted her last few days in this fabulous country to be truly special, and the Uma made them so. As soon as you enter the wonderful peaceful... more

Coming from the concrete, steel and glass opulence of Dubai, my 3 days stay in a 2 bedroom villa at the Uma Paro Hotel, Paro, Bhutan, was heavenly. Late monsoonish weather with moist clouds below you in the Paro valley and above you hugging the mountains including the 26,000 feet Mount Chomolhari, a villa designed and furnished even more lavishly... more

Stay only in Paro not Thimpu, its more quaint and has much more charachter. Uma Paro is fantastic, stunnning view from the corner suite of the hills around. Def do a stonebath therapy, make sure the water is hot in advance though. Fred the hotel Lab is adorable, hates excersing but loves to be tickled and can lie on his... more

With a breath taking country such as Bhutan, i didnt go in to expect a lot of luxury, but I really want to experience the people and leaarn about the local culture. We stayed at relatively simple hotel during our one week trip before our last stop at Paro, we decided to spend time in a more pampered environment. After... more

We just returned from a memorable 11 day stay in Uma Paro. From the moment we met our hotel assigned guide and driver at the airport, their warmth and quiet enthusiasm emitted positive vibes that our trip would be a happily and spiritually meaningful trip. The Guide was especially accomodating to our requests. Rather than following their itinerary, we designed... more

I stayed in Uma Paro with friends last September, and can honestly say it was the trip of a lifetime. From start to finish - I really can't fault the hotel or the staff! We arrived at the airport to be met by our charming guide, who was our guide throughout. On arrival at the hotel the GM was there... more

What a perfect experience! After an awful experience at another Bhutanese hotel, we felt we were in paradise from the moment we walked in the front door at the Uma Paro. After a warm welcome and tour of the facilities, we settled into our room, excellent with comfortable king-size bed, top-quality linens, free high-speed internet that worked on the first... more

Wow. Uma Paro is a fantastic boutique hotel in Paro. It's set in one of the many hillsides in Bhutan and has stunning views of the valley. The main hotel is housed in a traditional stone Bhutanese building and has been sympathetically designed inside to the highest standard while retaining tonnes of carachter. I stayed in one of the villa's... more
