We booked a 1 br villa thru RCI. The unit was refurbished and beautifully redecorated with new tile and granite countertops. The deck overlooked the ocean and we could see and hear the waves of the Pacific ocean. The kitchen was sufficient and the bedding very cozy. The timeshares are considered part of the Hotel and from that standpoint you... more

This review is late in coming, however, I want to submit my comments just the same. On our drive down to San Diego, my wife and I spent two nights at L’Auberge. Our stay was during the season’s last running at The Del Race Track, September 3rd. We found the entire staff to be first rate and first class. From... more

Stayed three nights at L'Auberge. Overall it is a lovely place. The staff is first rate (those valets really hustle). The location is excellent -- just steps from the Beach and the village, with lots of dining and shopping options. The rooms are lovely and are well equipped. We stayed in the lowest category room and it was great. The... more

The location of the hotel is beautiful. Minutes from the beach, walking, and right next to some very nice dining across the streets on both sides, the resort has some prime real estate. Unfortunately, they had just done a remodel and are still working out the kinks. I am giving this review a 4, but it should be around a... more

We decided to stay at L'Auberage for a couple of days for a nice relaxing time. Didn't happen. We had just stayed 4 days on Coronado so our expectations were high. First the hotels website is very misleading. It shows pictures of a nice green park over looking the beach....That is not L'Auberage property. That is part of the Del... more

We stayed there a while ago, and it was mostly excellent, albeit pricey. We had a suite, so the room was very nice and spacious with beautiful decor and linens. Service was very good overall, except for one incident with the front desk. The gal just did not seem to want to work very hard. All the other staff --... more

We recently spent two nights at the L'Auberge. It was an excellent, though quirky, luxury resort. The rooms were of average size and ours opened into the interior pool/courtyard with a little view of the ocean. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was California-seaside with light wood and patterned fabrics. The staff was very helpful and everything worked... more

We were looking for a couple of relaxing days on the beach and booked the L'Auberge through our CWT travel agent. The hotel is across the street from the Del Mar beach and we got a reasonable price. Imagine our dismay when we arrived and found that our room would be $65 more than listed on our reservation. When I... more

For the price we paid my husband and I expected a lot more. The room and bathroom were small, nothing special. The view from our room overlooked the parking lot. Our room was very hot (80 degrees) when we first entered due to the fact that the AC was not turned on. While it was nice to be close to... more

Stayed 2 nights at this property and it was very average for the price. Rooms are small and hallways were very noisey with housekeeping. The only real positive is the location. Easy to walk to restaurants/bars. Next time we will head down to La Jolla village and stay at La Valencia. Much nicer hotel and fabulous location. more
