I admit it...I'm a princess. I'm used to staying in nice hotels, but my friend and I agreed that we would try to "budget" when it comes to lodging during our recent road trip. Food, on the other hand, had no such monetary constraints, but I digress. We stayed here on the 19th of this month, and I can honestly... more

After much searching for economical rooms in the Napa Valley, I decided to reserve three rooms for a group of us at the Wine Valley Lodge. The rooms were clean and staff was quick to attend to our needs. The Lodge isn't great but it served our needs. The waffles, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, milk, juice and coffee made for a... more

Two of my girlfriends and I went to Napa for the 2008 Labor Day holiday weekend and we reserved the Elvis Suite at the Lodge. When you drive up, it becomes apparent that "Lodge" is another word for Motel. The two room suite was large and the beds were new and pretty comfortable. There were two minor drawbacks - the... more

We had stayed here last year and remember the room being clean and very large, so we gave it another go. We stayed for 2 nights. Upon checking in we got to our room and it was A LOT smaller than we had remembered. So much so that I think there are different size King rooms. The place is a... more

We recently stayed at the Wine Valley Lodge, choosing it for the price originally. However, I would gladly book rooms there again, and would recommend it to others who are looking for comfort and value in (what can be ) expensive California wine country. We found the rooms to be large, well equipped, comfortable and quiet. We are pretty independent... more

Other than a somewhat clean room, this motel has very basic amenities and rude and unfriendly staff for $150/night. Wine valley lodge "lost" our reservation and then found it again later in the day. The check in experience was horrible - they didn't have the original rate that was quoted to us and gave us a higher rate. After arguing... more

The hotel is NOTHING fancy! You are very close to downtown Napa and it was clean-other than that expect nothing. The staff was friendly enough-but not helpful at all if looking for recommendations. The rooms were clean-except our shower didn't drain at all and accumulated about 3 inches of water while showering. The surrounding area or "views" from your windows... more

I could say you get with you pay for with this one, but that wouldn't be fare. I have stayed in some pretty cheap places to save a buck, and have been able to sleep through the night. This is Napa, consider the idea that you may have just had the worst night sleep of your life, and now you... more

We went to Napa Valley last May and stayed at the Wine Valley Lodge based on reviews on this site. It was near the major thoroughfare, clean, and cheap - everything we wanted and nothing we didn't. We wanted to spend our money on good food and wine, and the Wine Valley Lodge was a great value. We're planning a... more

Picture a 1950's single-story next-to-the-highway drive-up-to-your-front-door motel, and that's the Wine Valley Lodge. The room was small, and the bed wasn't super-soft, but the amenities were modern and it looked like the place has been renovated since the 1950's (and since the 1970's, even). Sure, there was a little mold in the shower cracks and a stray hair here and... more
