I never expected to go to Disney and sleep in a tent. I am usually the resort type person. My kids and I spent two nights in a tent and had so much fun. There is so much to do at the resort that we never ventured off the campgrounds those days. My girls, ages 17 & 13, went swimming,... more

I stayed at the Fort Wildreness in one of the cabins with a group of my friends. It was four 20 somethings all staying together for a long weekend. We didn't see the need to spend the extra money on a golf cart because everything was easy to walk to, though I would understand the need for one in the... more

Our cabin was very dirty....I could write letters in the dust. The cabins and resort are not updated. Plugs did not work in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom had to be forced open...they did fix that while we were there. Takes 2 times as long to get to the parks from this resort as the other resorts. You... more

Great camping accomodations, pet friendly in the campsite w/kennels available for the day & night if needed. The Chip & Dale campfire show was great. The floating light show from the beach was fun. Campfire food prices were high but you can bring your own & roast marshmellows. General store prices were high as well. The comfort stations were fabulous... more

What a wonderful place. Myself, my husband, son, daughter-in-law and grandaughter (nearly four years) stayed for one week at the Wilderness Resort. Our accommdation was comfortable and clean, the pull down bed was a little small but we managed. The outside space was great. The pools were never too busy, the trading posts managed to provide essentials and it was... more

We reserved for 2 nights in Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and I found good and bad things: Good: Wonderful place, you are in direct contact with nature. You can see deers at night and rabits during the day. You can listen to the birds songs everywhere. The cabin was very cozy, clean and in some way confortable. Staff very... more

The Fort Wilderness resort is a great moderately priced (for Disney of coarse) place to stay ON Disney property. Our cabin, however, was pretty bad. There was a terrible odor, which never did really go away. The floors had obviously NOT been mopped. The housekeeping and maintenance staff kept trying to clean our room while our children were napping. Otherwise,... more

My husband and I took our two year old son to Fort Wilderness for four nights in May 2008. The cabins exceeded our expectations with plenty of room and all of the accomodations of home. We were able to save money by bringing food and drinks on our vacation because of the full kitchen, and BBQ grill, that are provided.... more

It was my first time camping and what better place to go than Fort Wilderness! It was pouring with rain when we got there yet we battled to put our tent up. Wonderful paved drive to our spot, sandy gravel area to pitch the tent. Nonetheless, the rain passed and we setup a little BBQ and cooked our dinner. We... more

We are annual passholders and have stayed at the various resorts on disney property. We usually visit Disney about 6 times per year for long weekend get aways and sporting events (marathon, 10k, etc). Always a magical experience. The campground is considerably slower pace than staying at one of the resorts on property. If you are squeezed for time it... more
