The surroundings were stunning, quick, efficient, polite, doting service. We were there for a business retreat and put into the wrong room. The first room we had did not have an heated indoor pool. The second one did. The food, for the most part was good. We did not use any of the other services, so we can't comment. The... more

Terrible hotel. They charge as a 5 star hotel but the service is as a 1 star hotel. It is not worth it. Too expensive for nothing. We went there for our aniversary and wanted to have some relax but we were stressed out for everything. The rooms are too hot with no AC, the pool is freezing, the window... more

Wow! What a place! I was a little nervous after reading some of the old reviews posted on TripAdvisor, but things have definitely changed since the other reviewers stayed there. This hotel is one of the most breathtaking hotels I have ever seen. My wife and I stayed there for a romantic escape without the kids while visiting family in... more

This hotel has terrible service, cold freezing in-room pools, even if you complain the pool has no hot water installation, it is impossible to fix, no water pipes installed in the room. Pool is almost inside the restaurant, how pleasant is that? Eating while watching some fat woman putting sunscreen on her, kids running, playing ball. Hotel is full of... more

This hotel has beatiful views, but that is about it. It does not provide the typical amenities of a spa, or promote a healthy ambience. Smoking is allowed in all guest rooms and in the restaurant, the menu is not geared for healthy eating, there are very few exercise classes (sometimes none), the rooms are not secured to the outside,... more

This hotel is spectacular, the view over the lake is impressive and present in all corners of the hotel. The architecture is mexican colonial but very comfortable and relaxing. My room had a small pool inside with a great view over the lake. During the week the hotel is almost deserted but if you want to relax you´ll find peace... more

After landing in Mexico City and a 3 hour trip west through mountains of pine trees and monarch butterflies, you reach an oasis, the city of Valle de Bravo, and the extraordinary spa, El Santuario. Located on a huge lake facing the city and sunrises, the hotel is built into a mountain of quartz and designed with natural materials from... more
