We were looking for an affordable place in Maui for the week and this hotel was in a good location at a great price. The rooms were very basic, but that was all we needed. We were only at the hotel to shower and sleep. The staff was friendly and very helpful when we had questions. The neighborhood is safe... more

We had no problems at this clean, basic hotel! I felt at first like I had been transported back to the 1950s as far a decor. And, the fact that I had no hair dryer but an HDTV was really funny, too. That said, it was very clean, was safe, and was inexpensive. A friend of mine had booked this... more

We arranged to stay here for the one night before moving on to our nicer plans. That being said, it's clean and fine for a night's sleep. I was not impressed, however, with paid parking. Yes, it was only $4, but the idea was just plain dumb for approx. 20 parking spaces and three driving/security guards to make sure they... more

Although you're always warned ... "you get what you pay for" I thought this hotel was great for our purpose. We had a late late night flight, had to check out of our Ka'anapali beach resort early and wanted somewhere to rest, shower and walk the beaches one last time before heading for the frozen tundra. I have already booked... more

We had an early morning flight so booked here just for the night. Upon entering the parking lot, there were at least 4 people directing traffic to remote areas on the property even before we checked in! We had to leave our luggage in the car which, felt very unsafe. The lighting was horrible and there appeared to be no... more

We stayed here twice - one night upon arrival and then again for two nights at the end of our stay. This hotel is what you pay for - a basic, cheap motel that is clean but dated. It was a great option for us as the price was right and we only used it as a place to sleep.... more

If you're looking for a centrally located budget hotel, the Maui Seaside is a good bet. My nightly rate was under $100 and the hotel staff from the housekeepers to the front desk clerks were very friendly. The hotel's location makes it easier to travel to different areas of the island. If you don't feel like getting away, there is... more

Having arrived in Maui at 10:30 PM we thought it best to stay in Kahului vs driving into Kaanapali so we chose one of the only 2 places in Kahului. It was like being at a motel we would stay as kids when on vacation-cheap but fairly clean. We felt like we had gone back to the '50's. we were... more

We stayed at the Maui Seaside on three separate occasions for one day each time in January and February. We found each room to be clean and fairly good sized. The staff was always very friendly including the housekeeping and grounds keeper. They always smiled, waved and offered to help out even when not asked. The first stop, we were... more

After reading the reviews, I was hesitant to book this place. But, it was the only thing on Maui in our budget. It was actually very nice. We got a "deluxe room," which was right by the pool and from our little lanai we could see the ocean. It was much better than expected. I would recommend, as long as... more
