Kihei Beach Resort is perfect provided you know the unit you are getting. Some are beautiful and fully remodeled, some have not been touched in a LONG while. 306 and 606 are very nice but must be booked well in advance. 606 is the top floor and has a large sun area it shares with the next unit. Condo # 207, second night there, smelled like someone was smoking a cigarette in bed with us, called maintenence # on the third day/ never fixed anything, condo people stated to us" airconditioner fans were installed backwards and that could be why you keep smelling smoke, was also told that all the condos were smoke free inside.
