Stayed here a week through an RCI exchange and this place rocks! We're older retired couple in our 60's and it was a bit noisy some nights but soon got used to it. The suite was grand with a large sitting room, ample bedroom with queen bed, great views of the city (we were on the eighth floor) and complementary... more

I was in town for a meeting and stayed at Gaslamp Plaza Suites for 5 nights. The hotel is neat--I actually liked the frosted glass hallways. My room was a good size and the bathroom was art-deco-ey. The hotel is in a great spot for enjoying the Gas Lamp district and close to the bus stop to get out to... more

We had two rooms booked for my mom, my kids and myself over spring break. The suites were good size and clean, although a little on the sad side. Some renovation would make this hotel brilliant! My mom's room was on the quiet side of the building, but window facing another building and constant noise from a fan. Our two... more

I have just returned from a week at the Gaslamp Plaza and felt I needed to share this information with others who may be considering this location. It is in a great location, however if you are not a sound sleeper, it is very loud at night. Because of the downtown location, there are people wandering throughout the hotel and... more

Well, I don't know where to start. First off, the hotel is beautiful and in a great location. However, my first two nights were spent in a studio which was ONE tiny room. The glass door (with some type of clouded glass and curtain) was right in front of my bed. I was scared. I was traveling alone on business,... more

stayed one night (although booked for four), and left due to noise from street. Although had requested higher floor at time of booking in August 2007 to avoid noise, was given room on 2nd floor. At check-in asked again for higher floor, but none available. After one noisy night (music from local club from 8 pm to 12:30 am on... more

The Location is awesome. Within walking distance to all restaurants and bars with great entertainment. We had a one bedroom suite on the third floor with a magnificent view of the strip. The Gas Lamp Plaza Suites a very lovely hotel. Very well kept. We ate at the Dakota Grill and the food was delicious. We were also given a... more

While I stayed there, someone had broken into my room and another patron's room and deficated on the bed. I never!! It was absolutely disgusting and the hotel staff nor the general manager did anything about it: they didn't investigate AT ALL and didn't take responsibility at all for allowing some creep to wonder around and gain access to people's... more

I love this place! The room was amazing and the location was perfect! The valet/bell staff was really helpful. The room and the bathroom are large and very comfy. The hotel is located in the middle of the gaslamp quarter so if noise bothers you I would not recommend this place. I was less than impressed with the front desk... more

My husband and I stayed at the Gaslamp Plaza Suites for 2 days as part of a Fathers Day trip for our parents that we booked. My husband and I travel to San Diego a couple times a year, and were pleasently surprised with not only the hotel itself, but the price, and how convenient the location was. We opted... more
