We liked the Best Western Bayside in becaus of the great location near Gaslamp Quarter. It was the first time we were in San Diege and for that the Byside in was okay. The price is was a bit high. We stayed 2 nights at the Best Western under Week. The room was Best Western standard, clean and normal in... more

The Bayside was a good, relatively affordable ($134/nt. AAA) place to stay in Downtown San Diego on a summer weekend--high season. It's located at the border between the financial district of downtown and the lively residential/restaurant area of Little Italy. As previous reviewers have pointed out, the hotel is within blocks of the Amtrak/Coaster station and the Trolley, as well... more

Bad shuttle service Dirty carpets and bathrooms Average breakfast Decent bed Patronizing not very helpful manager, especially when we complained about the bad shuttle service (had to call two times and a wait of over an hour). Would only return if there were not other hotel rooms available. Disappointed. more

My Dad and I stayed here the weekend of the US Open at Torrey Pines. All the hotels in San Diego were jacking thier prices so I felt I got a pretty good deal here, and from what I've seen the price to be when it isn't a busy weekend this hotel would be quite a bargain. It's two blocks... more

Our travel agent booked this room as part of our Park and Sail for a cruise. The room itself was very nice, and the location was good as far as getting around. It was also great that it offered a free shuttle to the cruise ship terminal, as well as parking for our vehicle while we were on the cruise.... more

After some of the mixed reviews here, I still took a chance on the Best Western Bayside Inn because of the price and its proximity to the American Society for Training & Development's International Convention & Expo. Some items were good, whereas others could stand moderate to major improvement. The front desk crew on the evening of June 1 provided... more

Horrible stay. Here for big medical conference. Dirty, noisy, and poor service all around turned what could have been a nice stay into a nightmare. To make matters worse, unbelievably bad experience in the on-site restaurant. No customers here, and there is a good reason why. After waiting an hour for a burger, I asked the waiter how much longer... more

Best Western is convenient to the Gaslamp and activities. The beds were super comfortable. Not a fancy hotel but for the location a good price and value. Buffet breakfast is included too. Front desk was very friendly and accomodating. Would stay here again! more

When we arrived at San Diego airport we had no idea how to get to the hotel-we telephoned the hotel and we were told to get a taxi and to make sure to get a receipt for the journey. When checking in, they asked for our taxi receipt and they refunded the cost! Pretty nice gesture:-) We were impressed with... more

My two girlfriends and I stayed here for four nights. During this period we went to sea world, the wild animal park, tijuana and the san diego zoo. We found that the staff at the front desk were very helpful in giving us directions and information about public transport. They also confirmed our flight out of LAX for us. We... more
