Visitors of all sorts will find the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley a worthwhile place. Its quality facilities include spacious public areas, a large outdoor pool, decent gym, and Marriott-quality rooms. Visitors from the East Coast will find the staff a pleasant change of pace -- friendly and casual while maintaining high professional standards. The hotel is located a block... more

Stayed three nights this past weekend. Specifically chose this hotel as opposed to the Sheraton across the freeway because we had a car full of belongings and felt that the Marriott's parking situation would offer better security. The hotel's close proximity to shopping for dorm room supplies also was more convenient. The Sheraton's parking is an open lot with no... more

Stayed here a few times on business over past few months, culminating in a 10 day stay in June. The staff is accomodating and friendly, especially front desk staff, and concierge lounge staff - delightful and friendly....having to spend such a long time away from home, yet having convenient place for breakfast made this tolerable, especially when working long hours.... more

I stayed here and somebody hit my car (the valet). And then never reported it. In the morning, the told me to come in for a complimentary breakfast and when I got up to leave, they actually mad me pay for one of them, AT A BUFFETT!! Everything about the trip was horrible more

The staff at this hotel could not have been more helpful and attentive. I stayed here for my wedding in San Diego, and everyone was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, I believe it is recently remodeled. However, it was the staff that really made it great. They were accomodating and professional. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend... more

I stayed here for 5 days, for a conference, but also made some vacation time out of it. Overall the experience was very pleasant. I’ll get the negative parts over with first, but there weren’t that many to be honest. The first difficulty I experienced was not the fault of the hotel exactly. I requested a refrigerator when I made... more

Arrived on a late Sunday night and was greeted by nice and professionsl staff. Public areas are great with a big open air pool, selected couches and outdoor furniture scattered throughout the property overlooking fountains. Very "chill" atmophere with music playing in public spaces. Very elegant lobby with reasonably priced gift shop. Parking is $13/day self park, or you can... more

The hotel was really nice but trying to get to it was tricky. The directions we had and the location of the hotel was tricky. It took us about 30 mins or more driving around the area to finally find it. And we found it on mistake. After driving around and around we stopped for food right near it and... more

Not the newest hotel, but we liked it better every day. Very good near gourmet in-hotel restaurant, and helpful, competent hotel staff. Exhibited at a small trade show in hotel, and didn't have any problems with materials being at right place at the right time. Staff was helpful, including lifting one or two heavy things into place. Location is good... more

It's not like the hotel room is a deal in the first place at a price over $200, but you can look forward to paying for self parking for $13 a day in a small lot that is difficult to fit anything but a compact car. If you would like to use the internet in your room you will be... more
