We stayed at The Belvedere for 5 nights in June 2008. I did a lot of research for hotels as they are quite expensive in New York. However, The Belvedere was in the mid-price range and had decent reviews compared to some of the others out there. We were impressed from the moment we pulled up. The Bellmen were wonderful... more

We stayed there for 6 nights - it was clean and comfortable. When we first arrived though we were given a terrible room on the third floor which was old, poorly decorated and really, really noisy. Luckily my fiancee has worked in hotels and requested that we be given another room (as we had booked a superior room). This was... more

I stayed 3 nights and was extremely happy with my stay. Clean room with contemporary style in a great location (2 blocks from the buzz of Broadway). My only complaint is that I could not get the wireless internet to work my entire stay. I talked to tech support several times each day and was unable to resolve things. Saved... more

we stayed at this hotel on june 7th for 5 nights, the hotel is in a perfect location far enough from times square not to be bothered by the noise but only a 5 min stroll away, the hotel is very clean and the staff very helpful, our room was on the 3rd floor so not much of a view... more

A very smart and clean hotel in an excellent location. Just 10 minute walk from Times Square. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms weren't massive but we were out all day 'til late. Had a fridge and coffee maker in the room. Would go back again. more

This hotel was a dump. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel is old and worn out. The rooms are tiny and the hallways were so hot!We had to move rooms because the in-window air conditioning(yes, that's how old it is) had no blind, so your options were waking up at the crack of dawn to the sun... more

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. The room was spacious for Manhattan. The bathroom was small but so are others in this area and price range. The kitchenette (fridge, microwave and coffee maker) was a bonus. Beds were comfortable. The location is so central - we walked to Central Park, to the Metropolitian Museum of Art... more

My friend and I were going to stay at another hotel, but decided to try the Belvedere based on reviews, location, and mostly to save round $250 total for the three nights. The lobby is nice and clean. We asked for a renovated room, but were told that would be $50 per night extra, so they gave us a refurbished... more

Booked a two night stay at the Belvedere during the US Open, half expecting a small room/bathroom for the price (~200/nt) given the reviews of other Midtown hotels in this price range. The room was quite spacious and there was a separate area by the entrance with a microwave, fridge, and sink too. The location was fantastic, just a 5... more

Stayed here for a week in April 2008. Was a bit dubious after reading some of the less favourable reviews, however soon found out that the complaints were unfounded. The room was basic and clean, although the beds were amazingly comfortable. We never ate in the hotel as there are so many places nearby. Someone on trip advisor recommended the... more
