I had to be in town for a convention and everyone was hoping to get the Marriot because it is attached to the convention center. I was one of the 'lucky' few. Hotel itself was great, very comfortable beds, great hotel staff, amazing location. My only real issue is that I'm pretty sure I had a ghost in my room.... more

we are silver elite members of Marriott so we stay in Marriotts often- however this stay was horrible. the renovations in the hotel were more extensive than I was lead to believe-The upstairs bar had terrible service on Saturday night-esp after I saw a waitress sip a cosmo and then proceeded to serve it to a patron!!!! I attended a conference here with some college students. My students were lucky enough to get upgraded to the deluxe tower, while I was stuck in the regular hotel! The positives--nice room, good housekeeping, Starbuck's in the lobby, easy access to Reading Terminal Market and Philadelphia Convention Center. The location is amazing. Spent a Saturday there on our way to NYC. Great Location! Walking distance to most sights including the Liberty Bell and Betsy Ross house. Will stay here next visit! Highly recommended. more
