I was here at this Best Western this weekend. It continues to be one of my favorite hotels in Philadelphia. Clerks allowed me to check in early. Housekeeping was extremely prompt in putting new batteries in remote. Very quiet, nice location, not too far from airport, very nice taxi stand! more

Maybe other people have had a better experience but I think this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was non-smoking but still smelled like smoke. When I pulled back the covers there was a hair on the sheets AND in the bathroom trash can there was a q-tip - even if it was a clean... more

Me and my husband got to the hotel and the woman who checked us in was very helpful. We walk up to our room along the way saying hello to the house keeping and they all just looked at us with this "snot" attitude. Okay, their just having a bad day we thought. We went to lunch at their Sports... more

This hotel was selected by a reservation group that handled our conference. It is a real dump. NO HEAT. We tried turning the heater on and it sounded as if the entire building was on the verge of collapse. When we called customer service we were told they were "working on it". It's going on 8:00 and we are still... more

We were prepared for the absolute worst after reading the reviews on here and finding out that this was the only hotel with rooms available for the last weekend of "Terror Behind the Walls" at the Eastern State Penitentiary. Maybe since we were so prepared we actually found it to be OK. Not one staff member was rude, if anything,... more

I saw no real problem with this place, we had the money to stay at an expensive place, but why waste the money, we were only going to sleep and clean up there. The staff treated us very nice and the room was clean and the beds were comfortable, the sheets were very clean, the lights, tv, coffee maker, hair blower, etc... more

Two sentence summary - Definitely not a place to stay for a family vacation. At best, it would be adequate for a business traveler on a tight budget. There was a large convention in town the weekend we were travelling to Philly. Many of the nice hotels were fully booked, and the three nice hotels that had rooms available had... more

Probably the worst welcome to a hotel I've ever had, from hilariously rude woman on reception. They finally found our booking - under the wrong name, for the wrong night, and wrong number of rooms. Despite having been through it all twice with someone else on the phone earlier that morning, because "the system crashed". Hmm. The rooms themselves were... more

Unfortunately there was nothing else in the city available under $400/nt for my dates. First impressions: the exterior is dismal and crumbling, and it only gets worse from there. The interior overwhelms you with the smells of mold and mildew, likely coming from the ancient faded carpet and walls. I spent three unfortunate nights here, and the moldy/mildewy atmosphere has... more
