I recently returned from a stay at Olivier House. Many changes have taken place since my first review of this hotel but one thing remains the same: I always prefer this place to any other hotel in the French Quarter. When I visit New Orleans, I prefer the feel of a home-away-from-home. This is always my draw to Olivier House.... more

Three friends and myself had a girls night out in the French Quarter on July 26, 2008. My sister booked a room at The Olivier House Hotel on Toulouse, just one block off Bourbon. We are considered locals as we only live 35 miles away in a suburb of New Orleans. And seeing as how we planned to have a... more

Well, after seeing the hotel website it seemed like a nice choice, a little kitch and quirky but thought it might be a nice experience. Booked 2 rooms, one for my boyfriend and I (room 101) and one from my brother and his wife (room 201). Hotel itself is nothing like the website. It was quite dirty and messy and... more

Last summer myself, mom and godmother stayed in one of the 'suites'. It was my third time visiting New Orleans and I always stay in the French Quarter area and never in chain hotels, and I must say this was by far the best stay. The staff are all amazing and will do everything to make you feel at home.... more

Just a word of warning: This hotel will disappoint you. If you have a balcony room, beware. It was so unsturdy that we put one foot out and stepped right back inside. We were fearful it would fall right off the side of the building! When we got in bed for the night, the frame fell apart and one side... more

This is not the Holiday Inn, but the hotel offers reasonably priced accommodations a half block from Bourbon Street in the middle of the French Quarter. Our room was clean and roomy with a nice view of downtown New Orleans. The room had a sitting area with a couch, refrigerator and microwave. We picked up several meals at the Toulouse... more

The Olivier is a comfortable, convenient, delightfully atmospheric and PET FRIENDLY hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. We stayed for three days in March 2008, and would enthusiastically recommend it to friends. Indeed, we hope to go again ourselves. First off, the hotel is pet friendly -- unusual for charming small hotels, as other pet owners will know.... more

We volunteered with Habitat for Humanity last week and the Olivier House by far had the best deal. Every room is different from the next. My room had a closet door instead of a bathroom door, the bed post was leaning over and the bed was not comfortable! Not the nicest place I've stayed! A friend of mine had a... more

My friend and I travel to New Orleans several times a year, and this is the only hotel we will stay in. The location is unbeatable. The staff is courteous and show great Southern hospitality. If you are looking for the typical antiseptic hotel room, this isn't the place for you. The rooms are quirky, as is the hotel layout,... more

My family has been to New Orleans many times and we love the city. We have always stayed with a friend. This year we came for a wedding and there were many of us. We booked 6 rooms at the Olivier House, including the Bridal Suite for the Bride and Groom the night of the wedding. We loved all the... more
