This is a great little hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. The hotel staff were nice enough and recommended some great restaurants that my new wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. The courtyard is beautiful and the pools are large and deep. more

My husband, daughter and I were looking for a hotel with a pool since we would be in New Orleans in the heat. We also wanted a room which offered more than the average 2 double bed size since we would be there almost a week and have different sleeping and waking up patterns ( I hate spending all my... more
A couple of friends and I went to New Orleans for my birthday this past weekend and booked a room @ the Provincial for $85/night. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel! Our room was located in Building 5 and had an awesome balcony that overlooked Decatur Street. The ceiling was really high and you had to go... more
A great little hotel in NOLA. Loved the smaller of the 2 pools-no one ever bothered my husband and I-it was like no one else knew about it! WONDERFUL A/C-if you've been to NO in August you understand that need! Will go back. more
The staff members at the Hotel Provincial were all very nice and helpful. The location is great--it's in the French Quarter, but it's far enough from Bourbon St so that you don't hear the noise! Our room had windows that opened inward and had an iron gate, so that it was a sort of balcony. The room was small, but... more
I have stayed at a many hotels in New Orleans, and this one earns high marks. My preference leans to the historical old hotels. The Provincial captures the ambiance of Old New Orleans without breaking the bank. My room was a "standard," and to my pleasant surprise, comfortably roomy, well kept, and nicely furnished. The staff was excellent. Parking was... more

The staff is great - I enjoy supporting them. If you want sparkling new, go to the Omni or Ritz.... more
I originally booked through Expedia.com, but in checking the hotel website a few days before we left, I noted that an upgraded room with almost $200 less than Expedia. So I rebooked. The hotel is in a great area. The rooms were clean; the beds were comfortable. The only real negative was a less than generous continental breakfeast of coffee... more
Having lived and worked in the surrounding New Orleans area for years pre-Katrina, I had the pleasure to stay in many of the hotels. Having relocated to NY, I was recently back in NO, visiting family and friends I decided to stay at the Hotel Provincial. The rate I got online via the website was an excellent deal and I... more
I chose this hotel based on its proximity to the French Market, Fiorella's, and Jackson Square; its status as a quaint historic property; and its views. In all of these areas I was completely satisfied with my stay, especially for the cost ($145 per night). By booking directly by phone, my parents and I were able to get a room... more
