The staff is friendly, the pools and slides are perfect for various age kids. We loved it so much we are going back this year. more

We have stayed at the Grand Wailea in the past and we were very dissappointed in our most recent stay. We paid $735/night for deluxe ocean view accomodations x 2 rooms. By the time you add the tax and resort fees the amount was over $1,600/night for 2 rooms! Needless to say, when you spend that kind of money you... more

Live on the island Played tourist for the night. The Spa here is amazing, been going for years, highly reccomend terme. The pools are like a water park, however they are very busy and you need to get chairs early. Gym is excellent. more

The setting was very nice, but seemed somewhat worn. This is an enormous hotel--to get back to the elevators to our room from the pool was easily a quarter of a mile and all uphill. Same for walking to the lobby, though that wasn't uphill. Problems: 1. It's a high-priced hotel, yet in order to get a decent seat by... more

The Grand Wailea is a luxury hotel in a very exclusive area of Maui. The property is large and many of the rooms have been renovated (some renovation is still taking place). The pools are the star attraction here and definitely what brings more of the families to stay here than say the neighboring Four Seasons which caters more towards... more

We’re staying at The Grand Wailea for the fourth time. It is our favorite resort destination in the world. We have been bringing our family here since they were little and this time we have our teenager plus her friends. Everything about the resort is just right from the friendly concierge (Richard) who set up our activities before we came... more

The hotel was very nice and the presentation was great, but it was a bit overwhelming and chaotic when you moved beyond the lobby area. If you have kids and want to stay somewhere that balances resort pleasures with kid friendly activities, this is the place for you. If you are on a relaxing and romantic trip, don't stay here...... more

After months of research on where to stay on Maui, my family and I chose the Grand Wailea and we were completely thrilled. The property is impeccably clean, service was over the top friendly, and the facilities were overwhelming with choices for all members of the family. I would go back in a heartbeat. I did NOT find it to... more

Hotel, pools, beach are beautiful. Our room (5081) was clean, spacious w/ ocean view. Resort reminded me of Vegas. The glitz can be overwhelming. For the price you pay though some things should either be included or done differently. As many have said, lack of free internet is ridiculous in this day and age. The cost to use it at... more

We got our room through a "friends/family" deal and were booked to stay in a mountain view room. We had called ahead to let them know it was our honeymoon which was noted on the record and she immediately congratulated us. As we were checking in, my husband mentioned it was our honeymoon and as he was requesting an upgrade... more
