I booked this hotel and had concerns after reading all of the other reviews stating that the rooms were antiquated and customer service was horrible. All of that was put to rest when I got there. I booked the cheapest room (I value my money), and when I checked in, simply asked for an ocean view at the same price... more

The New Otani is near Diamond Head, and well removed from the hectic Waikiki Beach area. It is a bit isolated from other restaurants and shops, but it is right on a beautiful beach with great views of the ocean and Diamond Head. It has a great beachfront restaurant and lounge. The room was small but very clean and comfortable,... more

We stayed at the New Otani for a week in April. We made reservations by phone and got the internet discount as well as a week discount. We were in a Diamond Head room on the 6th floor – with a beautiful view of Diamond Head and Kapiolani park. The room was small but clean and attractively decorated in blues... more

My wife & I, both late 50's, stayed at the New Otani for 7 nights in early March. This hotel is located on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki, which is less busy then the area around the Royal Hawaiian. The hotel has no pool but the beach is very nice & Kapiolani park is next door. Breakfasts & lunches... more

We stayed three nights at the New Otani Kaimana Beach. The hotel is next to a park where there is a zoo and an aquarium. We were able to walk to those places and also to the Diamond Head crater and trail head. The walk to the trail head is a little longer, approx. 2 miles. The hotel has a... more

I came back to Hawaii after 35 years. I so strange that Waikiki has hardly changed. I knew that I didn't want to be by the main crowds, I wanted beach access in front of the hotel, I wanted some place that was clean and well kept up, and with services. I got all these things and more. I highly... more

An excellent place to stay! We found this hotel through trip advisor and were quite please with our visit March 15-22. We were looking for a quiet spot off the strip to escape the spring break madness and the New Otani was the perfect hotel. Upon our arrival we received a free upgrade to a larger ocean front suite on... more

We just got back from our 6 days at the New Otani. We picked the hotel after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. I did read some negatives, but we took the chance anyway and are so glad we did. The rooms: we had a ocean front junior suite. This had a small sitting room with a big screen tv... more

My husband grew up in Honolulu, so when we were choosing a hotel for our Christmas holiday, we knew we wanted to be on the beach, but not in the centre of Waikiki. The New Otani Kaimana Beach is perfectly situated on a quiet street at the 'end' of Waikiki surrounded by a perfect, quiet beach and the beautiful Kapiolani... more

When I booked my room for my first trip to Honolulu I was looking for a place where I could relax as well as be close to waikiki. I hit the cover off the ball on this one. I was put in the annex, number 309, which is the closest to the beach on the top floor. The porch(lanai) opens... more
