These Hotels Are a Dirty Shame

TripAdvisor also offers periodic "Top 10s" based on traveler feedback. And though most are laudatory -- 10 hidden gems, 10 romantic lodgings -- we now have the "dirtiest hotels of 2008" with 10 listings each in the United States and the United Kingdom. Guest reviews are linked to justify selections, and I don't suggest scanning them just before dinner. Among complaints: "Used tissues under the bed" ... "carpets stapled to the wall"... "a dirty pair of ladies briefs hanging on the (bathroom) wall" ... "sharp broken tiles."
