Hi!

I hope my post doesn't make anyone angry or something like that...

a friend of mine (23) and I (25) are going next week for 7 days to Dubai. We're staying at JBH, and we plan on visiting some bars/clubs. I guess, guys usually try to find some girls when going to bars/clubs, so I guess we'll try and do that, too. However, I was wondering, since it is an Arabic country, if there is something we should be aware of (behaviour code, etc...).

Who knows, maybe this all will just end in a wish/try to get connected with some girls, but I would appreciate some advices regarding this. We don't want to offend anyone while we're in Dubai.

I guess you'll only be doing what thousands of others do every Thursday and Friday night so not that offensive.

However, public displays of affection are frowned on so just be discrete.

just make sure your dressed smart as you will get turned away etc, no sandals or shorts etc in the pm, and i think jeans as well.

Get a copy of time out dubai or look on line for good clubs/bar etc.

just be careful with what appear to be a working girl , should be pretty obvious as in the main they are eastern european or russian, but there are many places that attract these girls so you need to keep away from those establishments.

im sure you will have a great time and there are some nice places etc to hang out in the jumeriah beach area.
