Comfortable & Friendly

The service was outstanding, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful in every respect. The complimentary breakfast served in the downstairs restaurant was wonderful, true hot breakfasts, not just an assortment of rolls and coffee. Auberge’s location was convenient to many points of interest. I was charged for local calls (although they were free) at time of check-out. When I challenged the charge, I was told that they were in the process of reprinting the lists of amenities/services for the rooms to include that change but they had not been received as yet. Not a huge problem or much money, but I thought it unprofessional in that guests were mislead. Otherwise it was an exceptional hotel.

Traveler's tip

Do convert your U.S. Dollars to Canadian. Although a few places do take American, many did not (compared to last year), or just use your credit card.

Great Loft on the Main street

We stayed at one of the hotels lofts about a block away from the main building. Beautiful and modern. A Little noisy since you are on the main street but well worth it for convenience and quality of room!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

All the food we had in the nearby restaurants was great! Don’t miss the underground shopping. The fast food there was something special!

Excellent experience

Highly recommend this hotel in every regard. It was a highlight of our 50th wedding anniversary trip to Quebec province.

Definitely will go back!

The entire hotel is charming with the stone walls and hardwood floors. The breakfast was perfect with warm croissants- yum! Great atmosphere and the streets are awesome!

Good Choice

We chose this hotel largely for the convenience. We finished a cruise in Montreal and hoped we could find a place in the Vieux Port area that we could walk to from the ship. Perfect choice. Charming hotel. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Desk and porter people were excellent. Best meal we had all trip was at the adjoining restaurant, "Narcisse." Highly recommend.

Wonderful, unique, small inn

This was the first of three hotels we stayed at on our Honeymoon and it was a great way to start things off. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and gave us great advice on everything from restaurants to driving directions to Quebec City. The rooms are not huge, but well thought out and beautifully rustic. The view to the river is great and the windows even open. About 5 blocks from the metro, which can take you all over the city.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

I suggest exploring all the different neighborhoods of Montreal, especially, Mont Royal. So many great restaurants, shops and bars.

A charming hotel and a great value

I truly believe that this is the best you can get for the money. The hotel is charming and clean, the complimentary breakfast was great. the staff are wonderful and helpful. I’ve stayed at the Ritz Carlton and found their famous service less satisfactoty. I highly recommend.

Fantastic Hotel

We had a great stay at the Auberge. The concierge were more than helpful - and we were made to feel very welcome. The jazz band in the bar (Thurs to Sat) was wonderful, as was the complimentary drink we were offered each day. I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on staying again. Thanks!!

I’ve been there before, and I can’t wait to go back!

A wonderful hotel in the old town area. I’ve only been there in cold weather, but I am sure it is wonderful in the summer. It is an old warehouse transformed into a hotel with brick walls and hardwood floors. We love it. Breakfast is included as well as a glass of wine and cheese at cocktail hour!

Lovely...

Originally we requested a room with a view & a king bed, but upon arrival decided it was more important to have a giant tub than a view (it was the middle of January, so really, no need for a view). Philipe was great and switched us quickly. Breakfast was included and I read a review saying they would bring it to you instead of you going downstairs; so we requested it that way as well & it was lovely (they even brought it after the 10 am cutoff time one morning because we got up too late). Also, it was restaurant week and the in-house bistro had a super yummy 3-course dinner for a great price. Lastly, on the day of checkout we requested an extra hour as again we got up late and it was given without extra charge. Overall I was very happy & would go back there in the future. Great staff and nice place!

Fabulous Highly recommend,

I spent December 25 & 26th. Everything was absolutely perfect. the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgable. A perfect 10++ I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to all. It is the perfect location in Old Montreal, Very Romantic & Peaceful.

Traveler's tip

The best location for Old Montreal and still within walking distance to major shopping on St Catherine as well as the Historical parts. It offers something for everyone.
