enjoyable stay

Good service,good access to tourist sites,and good view of the river.Will return there on next trip. Good food too.

When can I go back!

Stayed 5 days and all aspects were positive. Good restaurant and guest services, central bar had snacks and more substantial food from the cafe and the main restaurant. Ala cart breakfast items were fresh at the coffee bar. We were visitng friends who were at a conference there and went to one reception which had great food (stuffed flounder with crab, smoked turkey and a suckling pig, all tasted great!) Additionally, staff handled the tours well and the facility has waiting and loading areas for tour buses which eliminated confusion. The Hilton is connected to the Riverwalk Mall, trolley cars can be picked up next door, Harrah’s casino is next door and Bourbon Street is about a 20-30 minute walk but the French Quarter started just about 3 blocks away. We walked at a variety of hours and had no problems with pan handlers or street people in the immediate area. Visible secuity around Bourbon St/ French Quarter. Hilton is near high end shopping as well. I saved by using Expedia even over the lower conference rate.

Bourbon Street may not be suitable for younger children. Many sexually explicit photos on exhibit and in some clubs, the ’dancers’ were in doorways or behind glass doors. Lots of drinking on the street and behaviors that parents may not want children to see.

Will stay at this hotel again.

Everything was great. And the location is easy to get to and centrally located.

Can’t go wrong with the Hilton, but this one was walking distance from anything and everything you wanted to do in the New Orleans French Quarter!

bathroom repair

room needed repair as bathroom cabinets falling of. all eating facilities close at 11pm with nothing available for late night arrivals.

Housekeeping was awful,small room.

Housekeeping never changed sheets in 4 nights. Did not remove room service trays or sweep bathroom floor. Did not replace the paper coffee cups that we used the first day (made coffee in a glass). Small room. The resturants in hotel were very nice although the closed room service before the time the were supossed to. This was the second time staying there and the first was not as bad except for the room last time was dirty and old.

The overall stay at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside was definitely of quality. The check-in went smoothly, considering that it was hundreds of people staying there for the Bayou Classic weekend. The Hilton employees were friendly and quick to respond to any request made. The only downside was the quality of service at the sports grill restaurant I believe Durby’s. We had a horrible waitress and the food was just ok. Other than that, the Hilton was a great choice of hotel because it was close to many attractions: the Harrahs Casino, connected to the Riverwalk mall, in walking distance to Bourban and various other nightlife venues. I would definitely stay there again!!

Definitely ideal for adults travelling for leisure as well as families and those for business. The hotel was rather quiet, but in walking to major New Orleans attractions such as the Riverwalk mall, Harrahs Casino, the famous Bourban and Canal streets, and various other restaurants and nightlife venues.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton. It was Bayou Classic weekend and the city was really booming. Everyone was extremely courteous and the room was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back again.

Great place to stay in

My room was very comfortable and clean. The pillows and mattress were "divine". The only drawback is that it away from the French Quarter but the walk was not bad. Mother’s restaurant was very close. It is also adjacent to the convention center which I had to go to on a daily basis.

Beautiful facility but the fitness center is not easily accessible. Great restaurant- Drago’s in the lobby.

Satisfactory

We only stayed at the hotel for a single night so we did not have a chance to check out all of the amenities but the room was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a convenient location and the self-parking was a breeze.

I’ll definitely go back there

The Hilton Riverside Hotel and Drago’s restaurant were almost enough to keep me from going out into New Orleans. I just loved every second of my stay there.

GOOD IF YOU NEED RIVERFRONT LOCATION

The hotel was OK because our conference was in hotel. The Riverwalk Mall was OK for lunch. The hotel. The top of the armoire was covered in thick dust. The staff were very good otherwise but not tall enough to see the top of the armoire.

Not Impressed

I have stqyed here previously, a few years ago and teh quality has really dropped. Old and in dire need of complete makeover.
