I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff are very respectful. The room is clean. the view from my 31st floor was amazing. I would recomend this hotel. be warned the lobby... reception is on the 25th floor, that puzzled me at first.Its close to all amenities. Oh no swimming pool or gym..

We recently returned from our trip to Japan. We stayed in Tokyo for 3 nights at this hotel. Hotel was nice but the hallway to our room smelled a little musty. It might have been from the lack of air conditioning in the halls. there was air condition in our room and the room was very clean. the staff was helpful but we did have some language barriers. it was conveniently located to the subway and the fish market which was great. we went to the fish market for breakfast and at first i thought it was going to be gross eating fish but it turned out to be so good and of course fresh.

We felt that the Park was a great bargain for Tokyo. Though the rooms are not the fanciest, they are very comfortable and offer exactly what we needed. It was the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in, we were in a room right next to the elevator and did not hear a thing (and I'm very sensitive to noise). We had a laptop and they did not charge for internet access, and there is a cable in your room. Everyone was very helpful, welcoming and most people spoke English. One employee even ran down the street to hail a cab for us (we couldn't envision that ever happening at any US hotel we'd ever stayed in). Subways are very easy to get to and there are a lot of eating options in the area ... cafes, restaurants, even Starbucks. There's free coffee and tea stuff in the room too. (The only problem we had had nothing really to do with the hotel itself - a rude cab driver took us to its sister hotel, the Royal Park, and insisted we were at the right hotel despite the fact that we had a little card from the hotel with the name and a map. Just beware that could be confusing.)

I chose this hotel because it was ranked number three and the price was right.

There are a few issues:
1. Carpet is coming out from the baseboard.
2. The caulk seal around the bath tub needs to be replaced.
3. House keeping cleaning the room cups in the bathroom sink.
4. The cup with water that I had left in the morning was returned to the shelf with the same plastic cover that I had removed to fill it up two days ago. The water is still in it.
5. There is no iron in the room; you'll have to special request one.
6. Smoking is allowed in the lobby and it fills the entire lower level with that god-awful stench. There is no way to go around it. You have to take the main elevator to the 25th floor and switch elevators for the rest of the floors, through the lobby.
7. There are no English speaking channels available.
8. Figuring out how to make the lights come on, or turn off, is not easy and there are no instructions.
9. No fan in the bathroom.
10. Pillows are not comfortable. Come to think of it, they are pretty bad.
11. NO GYM or POOL

On the upside:
1. Excellent location! Safe, clean, beautiful Shimbashi district.
2. Right off of several subway lines.
3. Shopping mall next to the hotel at: City Center. (Malls are the best places to find good, cheap food in Tokyo).
4. The price is good.
5. The staff is friendly.
6. The American buffet breakfast is great (though it is $25.00pp).
