What a disappointing trip. We trusted American Airlines would have the knowledge and professionalism to reccommend an AA Vacation, but they failed tremendously. The hotel is filthy, the bed bugs unavoidable, and if you don't need hot or cold running water at the same time, you might be able to stay, and only limited lighting doesn't help either. The casio felt like a horror movie. More than half the machines do not work, the employees constantly watch over you like your a crimminal. I was waiting for scarface to jump out at us.. We spent 10 minutes in there, won $10.oo and got scared and left. The food was OK, but nothing to brag about. The only thing I can say is the beach was nice, but you had to keep going back to the bar and getting your own drinks. They do not wait on you here. But hey, for the money what do you expect. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, like camping!!

Business serviceI could not have imagined a worse resort than the Paradise Beach Resort. It does not resemble the pictures on the web site AT ALL!!!. The rooms are small with furniture I am convinced was obtained via dumpster diving. We actually had to screw the bulb in/out of the lamp to turn it on and off. The vent and outlet covers were not affixed to the wall allowing waterbugs entry into the room. The walls were bumpy with what I suspect was painted over mold. On our first night there, we were treated to water torture via a dripping shower head followed by the discovery that one could only shower using cold water or run the risk of being scalded by hot water. Cold water was a blessing because at one point, we had no water. Wash cloths were nonexistent and one day the maid even took the raggedy towels without replacing them. Stray cats lived below the steps and stray dogs walked the beach. Every morning we were treated to the "breakfast club": loud talking construction workers with shrill saws. One had to be at the buffet as soon as it opened to beat the swarm of people from outside the resort wearing the same plastic bracelets for which we paid $40/day per person in order to eat the lackluster food (more often then not, we ended up at Hemmingway's). This resort has a long way to go before it can even be considered substandard.
We couldn't be happier to be home, right from the start. We where to have a superior ocean front room. There is nothing superior about it.It has a musty smell, they are small, no fridge or coffee machine , and you can not drink the water. Most of the staff doesn't speak english. The beach bar closes at 5.00 and the pool bar at 5:30.As for the drinks they don't any good ones.I wish they would learn to us alot of ice and a blender, after 1:00 in the morning you have to pay for your drinks.I thought that we where at an ALL INCLUSIVE resort, i guess i was wrong. The food is very boring not hot and the samething everyday maybe done a little different. There was 6 of us on this tour and we ate off the resort 3 days.BIG THANKS to Pizza Hut and Hemmingways. If it wasn't for those resturuants i don't know what we would of ate.The pool is not big at all.the picture is very deceaving.and the beach is very boring no music unless they where doing a activity there and we where there for a week and only seen it twice.we are in are early 30's and sujest that if you are into fun go some where else.and as for the casino most of the machines are broke.good luck getting on 1 if you go in around 10 .and they are closed during the day.Well thats it from me i'm sure my sister in law will be sending out her review also.

ServiceWell, we won't forget this place, that's for sure! This hotel is filthy. The electricity went off sporadically during the day as did the water (we were told they needed to conserve so only put the water pump on certain times during the day.) The towels were ripped and frayed (when we got them). There were a couple of days when no towels were available and thankfully we had brought beach towels from home. Very musty, lamps were missing bulbs, sheets were not clean, mold growing in the bathtub. Fortunately, we also had the experience of staying at a cleaner, more comfortable resort so we did not leave the Dominican thinking that this represented their hospitality.
