Since there were no reviews on this hotel I thought I should put one in. We were in Puerto Plata in 2001 and stayed at the Casa Marina, it was rated as a 3.5* and that is exactly what it was. The rooms were not immaculate but they were clean and we did not really care as we wanted the sun. Everything worked fine while we were there. The entertainment was a lot of fun, the food was fabulous, a bit repetitive. The staff were amazing, so nice and sociable and they spoke great english. The only thing that sucked was that the water was very wavy, you could not even get into the ocean most days. However the pools and jetted tubs were great and it was hot hot hot everyday. We went on 2 tours and they were a lot of fun. If you want a cheap getaway just for sun and relaxation, go here you'll be treated great.
